…5ft 9in is a ‘typical’ Dyche striker.
The 'typical' Dyche striker players alongside another striker. He always played two up top for Burnley so I don't buy this he 'fits Dyche's system' narrative.

Hahahahaha respect for even trying to justify that one
Trying to think of the GOT alumni that haven't just weaseled their way back in as a multiI don't want Adams but...
It's not ideal but...
He wouldn't be my first choice but...
It seems many GoT alumni are in the acceptance phase of grief.
I'd much prefer Iheanacho tbh, different gravy to AdamsI think Maupay just behind a Calvert-Lewin type would work - or an option to come on when chasing a game to support the attack. He's just never a number 9, and not one in this team. I was advocating his signing (age/experience/fee - figured we shouldnt lose money on him) but when I did so, I said loads he wasn't a striker we could play on his own/replacement for Calvert-Lewin. We've done what we do best since Moshiri and set the lad up to fail.
But on Adams - this was me 2nd August;
I don't want Che Adams either.
But we've reached that point now unfortunately. I always expected him or Iheanacho.
Well I can only suggest what I think the club is hoping, weather that proves to be effective is another thing and it's only my opinion. But the club looks to have brought in Danjuma and Jack Harrison who both have a scoring record, they also have McNeil and have an interest in Gnonto which suggest goals from wide areas is a focus. This has been bandied about all over this thread. Let me ask you a different question then, if Adams isn't going to score the goals but will facilitate others scoring, which of our players are going to score the goals?
Hopefully.Yes, and hopefully in 12-18 months we’ll have a real prospect on our hands. And hopefully next season we have enough firepower to not be dragged into a third relegation battle

Yes. There were tears last January when he went to the saintsAh Paul Onuachu? lol

... that's gone well. They signed him for £18.6m. Yikes.
Are you that anxious to get us relegated ?Would rather blood Katia kouyate through than deal with this dross. It's absolute madness how we just keep signing lesser and lesser players and degrading the squad. Che Adams can swerve it
He's not, he'll be starting every week. He'll be our first choice striker. DCL is broken.Well I can only suggest what I think the club is hoping, weather that proves to be effective is another thing and it's only my opinion. We also have a first choice striker in Dom, now I know hes crocked but alot of energy has gone in to his rehab this year. They haven't done that in the belief he has no way back. They have then invested in a young striker with the hope of development in Chermiti, so that suggests an eye on future development addressed.
Adams is a 2nd choice option off the bench that can lead the line and add goals. Is he a gonna do it on his own? No?? Is he gonna bang in 20 goals? No. But will he lead the line, work hard and contribute in a effective way. I believe so yes.
A top level striker is outside of our budget, everyone wants a top level striker that's why they cost north of 60 million. Money we don't have, we need to be effective in the market and that isn't always exciting.
Ain't that the truth. As a club we need stability and consistency, I think as a fan base we need a dose of realism.
