Chelsea & Boehly

Fair Fuchs to Todd imo, it’s getting comical now how many players they’ve bought and how much spent, but the more he continues to stick two fingers up to them the better for us/everyone, except the cryarse bitch kopites who are reporting them to the league.

The league seem to be paralysed to do anything about it, but have continued to hunt down little old Everton - baffling.

Agreed, it’s madness!

Although I do feel confused about Poch role in this. Yes he is known for wanting younger players who can execute his energetic game plan. It’s starting to look, like the point you’ve just made, as if he has no say in transfers whatsoever. Which as we know, can be major issue in the manager to board harmony…

A small bunch of young talent is can foster and mould.

Chelsea's squad is now full of kids, some of whom will be their to get collect a wage and not really be arsed so will be difficult to motivate.

Lampard said the same at the back end of the season saying there's people that are there not really to compete and play, but just for a wage.

Your senior players are really Sterling and Silva.

Spent another what 90 million in the last couple of days? It's quickly going from 'that's the crazy world of football nowadays' to they are taking the absolute piss. Honestly ridiculous and the authorities need to do something about it...now.

There needs to be a maximum amount of players registered at any one club. Obviously still be a lot once you factor in the youth teams but should still put a brake on them constantly hoovering up players at all levels.
Their squad is smaller than the one that started last season so the constant hoovering charge doesn't really apply. In fact, before the signings of Olise and Caicedo it was being bandied around by a few that their squad looked a little thin in terms of a 'Big 6' club. They released a lot of players at the end of last season and sold a good few as well going into this season.

The player registration limits already exist in terms of how many players can be registered for a competition. They aren't going to splash significant dough on League Cup only players.

The authorities are at the moment powerless to do much in terms of doing it now. Until accounts are filed that take into account wages, operating costs and income then there's nothing to go at.....yet.

Chelsea have lost their identity
Their starting XI on Sunday featured 3 players who've been at the club since childhood and one of those 3 is their club captain.

How many academy lads turned out and gave it some 'Nil Satis Nisi Optimum' for the School Of Science on Saturday?

Not baffling at all. We were way further down the road of spending beyond our means before charges got levelled. Everton's charges aren't due to what's happened over the time period of Boehly's spending.

If Chelsea similarly fail to reap any returns on their investments then they'll be in the same boat within a similar timescale.

Abramovich the billionaire bought chelsea in 2003 and invested a huge amount into their academy so no suprises about the fact that some of their academy players have come through given that was 20 years ago not last season

I’d be surprised if we have even invested 1/1000th of what chelsea have into their academy

Still curious to know what's meant by this 'identity' that they've lost and which other clubs supposedly haven't.

And we have for a long time had an established Category 1 youth setup. Exact figures aren't easily available but I'd guess a figure of around £4-5M per year would be a low-end guess at the spending to required for an established PL club to run and maintain a Cat 1 setup given the requirements under the EPPP.

I'd be very surprised if Chelsea were spending 1000 times the amount we are on their setup and even more surprised if that was financially feasible.

Everton don’t have charges - it’s one charge mate.

It’s also nothing to do with our spending - it’s related to tax payments isn’t it?

Like I said, the continued spending at chelsea is baffling and/or very canny and clever on their part. I don’t think they will be getting done for FFP at any point with the amortised contracts they are lashing out.

I don't know if it's a charge or charges or what specifically it's over apart from it regarding a Profit & Sustainability rule for the period ending 21/22. As it's under P&L I think our spending will be a very relevant part of any enquiry into club finances.

I'd have imagined iffy tax dealings would have seen involvement from HMRC rather than the PL. I could be very wrong.

Not going to help when you can't shift players like Ziyech who I notice has failed yet another medical (that's about the 3rd this summer)
