Ah balls, heroic narrow defeat by a deflected goal in the last few minutes it is then. Fairly typical for us.

But there are a lot of positives to take from that and other recent performances, most importantly our defensive resilience is back and we are no pushovers anymore.

Should safely stay in mid-table now.
Not to much has gone for us lately but at least we are fighting it now,it will come good. Its good to see Gibson back to.

Fully deserved a point there. So unlucky.

I think we're getting there, gradually. Just in time for Europe, hopefully.

Laughing at the people moaning. Absolute dunces.

Agree mate. Like you, I thought we played very very well and should really have won. Only genius by their keeper denied us a deserved win. How good was Naismith in the second half. I mean he was pretty good in the first half as well but that was more a display of his attacking skills. The second half he was a terrier. My Man of the Match by some distance.

crazy isn't it

We have slowly improved after a nightmare month in Dec were confidence was at rock bottom

Draws with Liverpool and City, A win against Palace and a narrow defeat to the league leaders

Boggles the mind
It's because of that horror run and our position in the league. Our forms not been terrible the last few matches considering the opposition.

I still wish Martinez would show a bit of bottle and leave Barry and Naismith out once in a while.

Barry is a tit.

And after getting a man set off, all players should be back defending. Why on earth we left two players up there ffs?

Thought we did okay there, on another day Rom's bagged two and we're running away with 3 points. Says it all when Mourinho comes charging onto the pitch to congratulate Cech. Mirallas on for Naismith and I woulda fancied us nicking it though.

looked good in defence all game; very very unlucky to concede. i fail to believe that this referee is adequate for 'the greatest league in the world', or perhaps cheating cowardice refs like him are integral - fail to believe that 4 adult men whose sole job in life is to officiate football for merely 90 minutes at a time can miss a headbutt in broad daylight in the middle of the pitch (then decide to book mccarthy). missing a cutting edge at the moment!

Deflected off Naismith, otherwise it's right at him and he has his body behind it.

it took while after the deflection though. i can't be arsed to make my mind up whether he was at fault, i quite simply don't like him after his performances this season, he'll still get wrongly picked every week.

howard at fault there? it was a fecking terrible effort at goal and he does love getting beaten at his near post. barry cost us as well, i can't believe how experienced that moron is, he plays like a 17 year old sometimes. what an utterly pointless foul!.

martinez is a bright lad, but what the [Poor language removed] does he see in those two? they've almost single handedly derailed our whole season. i'm guessing he's thinking if we take those two out then we don't actually have any experienced players in the team, which is a valid point, but when they play like those retards, why would you want experience in the team?

very good second half performance imo, deserved to win, we had all the good chances. in the grand scheme of things, losing a point won't make one bit of difference to our season. just get back to winning ways against leicester hopefully. thank the lord i don't have to watch barry for a couple of weeks, just wish howard would get injured again, his distribution was utterly abysmal all game.

Good post, at least he doesn't have the option to play Barry for a few games now. I hope the anti-Barry brigade (Inc me) are proved right that he is a liability to the team.

Deflected off Naismith, otherwise it's right at him and he has his body behind it.

And if he were moving away from it that would be an excuse, he is moving toward it and reactions should have told him to stick a hand out, it is a shame as he had a great game otherwise but his keeping at his near post has become such an issue though
