As much as I deplore Howard being selected over Joel and He maybe didn't save the goal. He made a couple of great saves too, all about perspective I suppose.
None that you wouldn't expect him to make although Howard did OK tonight. I'm just fearful that he will let us down when it really matters.

Wolfsburg could not live with us...too much power and pace . I think the EL will easily be won by one of the English teams. The PL has too much power and pace for most continental teams to counter. And Wolfsburg is a case in point. One of the best German teams got battered by one of the best English teams.
The only way we wont be winning the EL, or getting to the final, is if we meet Spurs or Liverpool on the way there
The Spanish teams are very strong.

Have you been struck hard in the head, chum?! The Spanish teams would steamroll any one of us at the moment and I suspect some of the Italian teams will have a lot to say too. If you think Everton are a match for Villareal or Sevilla on current form, I'm filing a restraining order against you.

Not sure if its been posted this photo but its madness how McCarthy got booked and Ivanovic never..

yes, but they lack directness of play. As we have seen from their national teams results recently, the Spanish style is passé. Press them and they crack (NB I am talking teams below Barca and RM here...those two teams I think probably would beat us)

Anyone got the gifs/vines of the little scrap? I heard there was a headbutt? My stream went off when this was happening.

When going to Chelsea I presume we would be set up as a counter attacking team maybe playing 2 of the quickest players in the league Lennon and mirallas. Instead we play half counter attack and half no man's land by playing naismith and barkley together. It doesn't work. Big rom touch was poor tonight and their keeper made a great save but I think we could have worried Chelsea a bit more with a different line up
He doesn't trust Mirallas to do the work defensively. I don't blame him which is why I would have played McGeady in this game but he was injured however once I saw the team I was surprised we didn't play the diamond although maybe he didn't trust Ross either.

That's our problem. We either have players who are good offensively or ones that are good defensively which is why there is a split amongst the fan base. Some of us prefer the more talented players and some of us love the players who put in a good graft.
