How anyone can level any criticism at Delofeu for the few minutes he was on the pitch defeats me. The fact is we are toothless in the last third of the pitch, totally lacking conviction and belief. That's 3 away games without one clear cut opportunity. I think we're letting Martinez and the team off lightly at the moment.

not quite true, but I take your point

I'd sooner be watching a Martinez team playing football and losing narrowly in a game than a Moyes team making us look like Garston Royal British Legion and hanging on for a deadly dour draw. I know what will utimately succeed.

Is right.
You can only get so far with pragmatism and percentages.

Good performance today. On a train full of Chelski supporters today who mostly admit they deserved no more than a point.

Mods...my reputation on this site is reasonably well described. How does one stop plonkers like this (who I have never 'seen' articulate a post, from casting aspersions?

...reality check me thinks. Jose has never lost a Premiership home game. With 10mins to go it could've gone either way. They scored in the last minute following a debateable free kick. Can't understand any attacks on specific players. We can mix it with the best but clearly lacking a superstar to score a goal from nothing on a regular basis.

You're overstating how bad we were under Moyes. We didn't play badly last visit to stamford bridge, either.

This is just about how good this team is, regardless of manager. What martinez has really improved in us is the ruthlessness vs the cannon fodder rather than our performances away at places like chelsea. The latter will come next season, I think.
