Had to watch later due to obligations this morning.

Needless to say I was pissed. I'm tired of these matches where we're toe to toe if not better than the team we're playing only to switch off for three seconds and ruin 92 minutes of good work.

Can't say Chelsea deserved anything out of that and I'd say a draw would have been more than a fair result for both clubs.

As it stands, we just fall further and further behind with results like this.

Frustrating doesn't do it justice.

It will continue to happen until we spend some serious money on attacking players TX

We do not have the quality to break down teams at the top end of the table

Imagine any other top 5 side having Naismith/Osman/Pienaar as there attacking threat yesterday

Victor was decent in his last 2 years for us tbf.
no he wasn't he was just less poor.

Generally; True quality costs money, even if you by an' improver ' in the Cahill, Pienaar mode. 2Mill means they might ' Improve ' to 8,9,10 mill.
We can't afford 25mill players

What we need to be doing is buying 8,9,10mill improvers

easier said than done I know

Or slowly start to introduce the kids, ten minutes here and ten/15 minutes there.

had not known that Troare did his hamstring in the warm up forcing a team change but still could have done better than sticking with Osman and Naismith.

Roberto needs to wake up and smell the napalm.

Howard made a few saves, yes, but leave it to him to mess it up again. He's always been bad on crosses into the box and not wanting to leave his line. I noticed that Ivanovic got up for the ball and may have forced Howard to stay on the line, but big Terry running at him made him piss his pants and let that goal in. And can someone explain to me how a professional football player is that bad with the ball in his feet. I counted three times he put us under pressure again with his terrible delivery.

Howard does have those weaknesses you mention, I have rarely seen him come out to crosses or dive at a players feet. Seems to wish to stay back and spread himself. There are times though where he has made some good reflex saves, I think that is the point he is more of a shot stopper. I think it was way back that I felt we should be looking for a younger keeper and binning Howard.

That Sunderland Keeper Mannone(spelling) would do me, could be available if the black cats go down, went there on a two year contract last year.

We were good all the game but we gave silly fouls away and the one outside the cost us the goal. The defence just watched the ball go over there heads. The Man of the Match for me was howard he made some greats and naismith when the ball was getting whipped in his own box he cleared them away

You don't need to spend the money the likes of Chelsea have spent though. You can get some boss players for 7m if you go to Mexico/Spain/Brazil.

Were you not watching yesterday? Osman played well for the 60+ minutes he was on and forced two cracking saves from Cech while Naismith led the line brilliantly and brought the midfielders into attacking areas

Its so boring when people make their mind up on players despite how they actually play.

Osman had one of his best games of the season yesterday in my opinion. If he had a bit more pace and a lot more strength he would be a top player but all too often he'll have a decent game followed by a woeful one. If we had still had Osman on the pitch when we had that break away when Barks put it straight out I ctually think we may have scored it.

Naismith was everywhere and really put in a shift, trouble is he got too involved in other areas of the pitch leaving us with no one up front. We are so desperate for a front man to lead the line on the shoulder of the last defender its untrue. I know we've said it for ages but every penny we have should be invested in at least one forward for next season.

Anyway the better team lost again yesterday and thats twice now thats happened- we need to start scoring agin and I hope the return of teh big man will kick start our run in again.
