Hi everyone.
Had time to calm down after a frustrating day.
Just got back now and I'm exhausted so i'll keep my post short. I wanted to actually start on a positive note on how good the atmosphere in the away end was today, I was in the lower tier and it felt like we were singing for 90 minutes In comparison to Chelsea fans who were quiet all game and the only song I heard them sing was 'Come on Chelsea...'.
First of all a comment on the line-up, when I saw Traore I was pleased as he would have been confident going into the game and he could of had a good 60 minutes with Naismith A.K.A The Super Sub coming on and giving us a push to hopefully win the game. On the flip side, seeing Osman in a central role and playing was quite disappointing as we are far too slow with him and Pienaar both playing and I'd have preferred to see McGeady/Deulofeu and Mirallas on the wings and Pienaar in a more central role but Roberto knows best, eh?
The first half seemed to be quite alike to Spurs and Arsenal where we basically dominated the game apart from brief spells and never took our chances which was frustrating to me and my mates and a few of the lads around me. I thought McCarthy was fantastic in the whole game but first half especially, he was chasing around for everything and really showed desire. If we would have took one of them chances we had 1st half like Mirallas' shot, a header we had from Jags I think or Osman's shot then I think we would have went on the win the game as Chelsea were very lacklustre and were there for the taking.
I was surprised to see no subs at the beginning of the 2nd half as I thought we might have needed to freshen things up and try and really push for that first goal. The majority of this half was quite even and we definitely matched them and it was disappointing to see how bad our final ball was. We brought on Ross and I was like what has happened to this guy, earlier in the season he was so confident and running at people. Today he looked low on confidence, weak and seemed to take too many touched and If some of his passes were better I think some chances could have been created.
Goodnight lads, onto West Ham and Arsenal and I think with the addition of Romelu we could get a result at the Emirates.
