I'll really question his attitude if he doesn't stay at Brentford to be honest. You can talk about Champions League, etc, but he was dead and Brentford were the side to offer him a chance to play again. He owes them for that imo. A year would be about right before a mutual agreement to part ways if he's still performing at that level.
 
Everton are a much bigger club than Brentford. We have far greater potential with a famous young manager and the new stadium is on the way.
 
Will pop up in the occasional game next season but I want to see young, hungry players joining the club rather than players in the twilight of their careers. Let's build for the future.

Yes we’re such a big draw that potter turned us down …. And the burnley lad on a free is going to turn down more money and go elsewhere .. our fan base need a reality check … nobody with proven pedigree wants to come here now especially after our relegation scrap …we need to sign young hungry players and gamble they evolve into top players .

I know what you're saying but football is cutthroat if he hadn't performed Brentford wouldn't be offering him another contract. He could also say he repaid them by helping to keep them up easily which before he came they looked as close to going down as we did.

He repaid them on the pitch, he owes them nothing.

Let’s not pretend Brentford were being charitable with the signing. They were a different side with him playing. The only reason they were able to sign a player of his quality was due to his medical issues, it goes both ways.
 

I’d like him here, top class when on form. I can’t see it tho.

One thing we desperately need along with creativity is guile and pace. We are too slow going forward so if he was to come in we need some pace to compliment his vision /ability.

I get that sense too. Think it would be a poor signing, and Lampard wouldnt get the best from him.
