My auntie doesn't work. Her husband is minted and despite every year putting limits on spends she always goes over the top and throws round expensive gifts for everyone then ends up getting drunk and all she talks to everyone about is whatever she has bought them. Takes the shine off it for me. Stupid cow

A girl I'm talking to has spent over 2.5k on her kids and was conscious of what people thought but I told her that's their problem, not yours. She's worked hard in life and has the right to spend what she chooses. I don't understand why people would have a problem with it when she has grafted in life to put herself in a fortunate position.

I like this. Although I'd have to get my in-laws to write their name and address on the back and provide a valid cheque guarantee card.

Buying for adults is a load of nonsense and grates on me more with each passing year, soon adds up and does anyway really give a toss about the token £20 gift I have got them in a supermarket sweep? No but you look a tit if everyone gets you one, would rather spend whatever I have wasted on them and put it towards the kids in the family. This is the last time!
