Just be happy South America has VAR to correct his mistake. Concacaf hasn’t figured it out yet.
I would be happy if VAR was used correctly but as shown by last night’s second call it wasn’t. That last minute goal should have never been taking away from Mina, he wasn’t even looking at the ball when his hand hit it. The refs were just awful yesterday and it is truly embarrassing that Conmebol and Concacaf have such a joke of officials determining such important matches.

According to one of Opta's official accounts for South American football data, the match at Barranquilla Metropolitan Stadium lasted 108 minutes and 59 seconds, of which the game was active for just 44 minutes and 15 seconds.

The remaining 64 minutes and 44 seconds were not disputed, the ball was stopped by all kinds of interruptions. The VAR was the great protagonist in the second half, it intervened on several occasions, including canceling Yerry Mina's goal play at the last minute by a hand of the defender.

We barely added points but we’re very lucky with other results

Looking at where we stand and our rivals’ schedule, I’d be very surprised if we don’t make it.

we need goals though. We have been lacking goals since Rueda took over. Hopefully James can help with that

No way should that goal have been disallowed. As far as I'm concerned it stands and 3 points are awarded to Colombia.

Please feel free to update the table now I've confirmed the win
Wise statement, Mac. I have looked at the replay many times and there was no intention by Yerry to touch that ball with his hand. He wasn’t even looking at it.

Can you give a call to Infantino and make sure FIFA updates the table correctly.

No one answering Sassy, I've left 2 voicemails and my 2nd was very strongly worded!
That’s unfortunate but Infantino has been partying in Colombia.

So I’m thinking he still is busy charming the Colombian ladies instead of looking at complains over yesterday’s match but hopefully your strong worded email let him know that he is in trouble, but if not make sure to mention the Medellin cartel in your next voice message ;)

No wonder he isn't returning my calls, look at him the dirty little Percy Perv!

How is travel to Colombia these days with covid and all that? I fancy a trip there
I guess it all depends of where are you going, how much you will be interacting with people, how comfortable you feel going to a country that still has a low vaccination rate, and whether you have received your covid shots already. Unfortunately Covid still is going rampant in Colombia since the right-wing government has done very little to secure vaccines for the general population so at the moment only about 39% of the population has received two shots. However, a lot of people have began traveling to Colombia already. My younger sister has received both of her jabs so she will be going this weekend to visit my dad, she is probably going to do very little there except visit the family so she feels confident about her trip. Where would you want to go? any cities or region that you have in mind?

Hmmm...doesn't sound too encouraging. I'd probably want to go to Bogota, Medellin and round Santa Marta way for my next trip there. Depending on how long I have maybe 1 or 2 other places too. I've had my shots and would be looking to be quite active daytime and also restaurants and bars night time so might have to wait a little bit by the sounds of it. Maybe something to consider for next summer.

Given that you do seem to wanna travel to different cities and experience the food, bard and night life then I would recommend waiting until next year and hopefully things will be much better regarding covid then. After all, if you are going to go through that big expense then you certainly want to make the most of experiencing the country and the culture without having to be nervous about covid.
