Rueda continues to make the wrong subs and fail to make the proper adjustments

We were playing well

Brazil made adjustments

We did not and lost
We were playing great the first half, I was impressed with our defense but you are right, after Tite made the changes Rueda was late to react and made some wrong subs. The ref also allowed Brazil to dictate the game the way they wish. And Neymar got a way being aggressive throughout the game but making Colombia players look as if they were the aggressors. I dislike him so much!

How was this not a card? Brazil is an amazing team, there is not doubt about that, but South American referees are always letting helping them with their calls or lack of

Great Google translate work from AS there - "the party collegiate" ?. Those false friends are always tricky.

Qualification looks very tight for 4th and 5th places. Based purely on their squads I'd back Colombia and Uruguay to join the top 3, but you never know I guess.
Oh Billy, it is a very tight indeed for 4th and 5th (as it always is in South America qualifiers, probably one of the toughest conferences) I would also think given on squad quality that it would be Uruguay and Colombia but until we get the spot nothing is guaranteed. Colombia definitely needs to get 3 points against Paraguay. Rueda needs to figure out how to give us a win because if we don’t then we are in trouble. It is so frustrating because we have players with great characteristics that are currently being successful at their clubs. Ospina is a spiderman and our defense has been solid. Zapata, Díaz, Cuadrado, even James had all been scoring recently at their clubs but then with Colombia they are dry. It is just frustrating that we done so underwhelming the past qualifying matches under Rueda. But I’m still hopeful that we can make it but it is definitely tough battle ahead.

Not a bad side that, considering.

What we thinking, Sassy? Is the World Cup realistic? I know you’re in the Automatic places at the moment, but got enough to get all the way through?
No bad at all, which is not surprising. All of these are very good mostly local league players, even if they are not the main team of international players.

I would like to believe that we are going to make it. It is not going to be easy but it is also no impossible. We need to get at least 6 points from the next 4 matches. But ideally we need do better to guarantee a spot instead of having to go to a playoff with an Asian team. These are the next four matches.

Bolivia Venezuela is a nice end, if that’s the end of the schedule?

Hopefully Argentina qualified and plain sailing. One of earliest World Cup memories was England Colombia and Valderrama in 98, and was magical, so always want Colombia to do well.

Yep, that will be the end. So the next two games against Peru and Venezuela are the toughest.

I would love for us to do well against Argentina. Mina is healthy again, James is getting back to rhythm and Rueda has been perfecting his tactics so we should have some good matches coming up. I very much remember that match against England. That set of Colombian players was a golden age that hasn’t happened again.

Sorry but if Mina, goes out and plays those internationals, he’s taking the piss out of us
I’m sorry you feel that way, but the upcoming matches are WC qualifiers and specially the next two, against Peru and Argentina are crucial. Colombia needs the best team possible and Mina is part of it so if he is healthy and available he should be playing.
