Much easier to build airspeed if you have no climb requirements. Set the AP and sip your iced tea, that sounds like a good takeoff to me.

Yeah, but for someone not used to it......and we did have some climb requirements....we were headed straight for Waikiki and Diamond Head!

Sorry, I meant climb out/departure rate of climb requirements. Sounds like you had no terrain or noise abatement requirements, and you weren't being chased by rocket equipped Toyota pickups, so your pilot could rotate and set the climb rate based on airspeed. They still had in mind a specific rate of climb to reach altitude, but at a low rate of climb you might not even notice the pitch without visual cues.

You worked on the making of the A380 ?? Hats off to you. What an undertaking !! Did you enjoy it or did the work every become boring for you?

I served my time at the airbus plant in broughton as an aircraft fitter, make all the wings there. Worked 320, 330 and 380, worked abroad as well doing repairs/ modifications

Where was it coming from and going to?

It goes from a little dock behind the factory, down the river to mostyn, boards a big ferry, goes down to Bordeaux then travels by road to Toulouse to be assembled!

Was working on Heathrow Airside Last year in between 2 stands so i got to plane watch all day. Constant 747s and A330s coming in and out

That's how an instrument procedure should look; gentle turns, descents, etc., because in bad weather you're busy enough to begin with.
