Computer games.

Night in the woods is my favorite visual novel. really nailed the look and feel of Western Pennsyltucky.

Have a go of 'Kentucky Route Zero' - Great little game with a similar(ish) art style

NITW does everything better than KRO from the art, soundtrack, characters, dialogue, quotes and story. To me KRO wanted to tell a similar more abstract story to NITW just didn't do it nearly as well. plus all the characters in KRO I didn't care about and/or weren't interested in. I remember watching this 2 person play around part 3 in which you have to press right after one person talks and left after talks and that was enough for me.

oxenfree was good, I also enjoyed life is strange before the storm (never played 1 or 2). Firewatch, decent but really you could watch it on youtube and there is no difference.

It’s because a call was coming in and he was driving too fast. CP have issued a statement telling players to either slow down a lot when driving or travel by foot and the problem is fixed.

just like this new currupt save if you use the crafting system too much. They said make sure you don’t have too much in inventory ever and don’t use the gem rafting so much. They literally said that.

Now I can actually play the game after the latest hotfix (performance went from about 15-40 to 50-60 fps), I can say Cyberpunk is a really fun game.

But the bugs.... lol the bugs.

To be fair the gfx card in that one he shows isn't great.

Depends what you class as good but I wouldn't class a card that gives 'ok' performance at 1080p as good.

Depends on the game of course, still, as you've correctly pointed out it is subjective.
For reference, I have a 2080ti with a I9 9900K in mine however the vast majority of folk aren't looking for that level of performance so, in my humble opinion of course, the 1660 would be a very reasonable GPU.

True.

You can play anything on it and it'll look good.

Nice rig. How much did that cost roughly when you made it?

I have a Ryzen 3600 with a 5700XT and 16GB RAM.

Pretty nice sweet spot between value and performance. I record music and play games on it but don't do any heavy video editing etc.

I play in 1080p so I can play at a high refresh rate. Prefer the smooth gameplay over a higher res.

The stock 'shortages' of the new consoles are getting silly now.

I get that it's been a mad year with COVID and all, but even still I would've expected mega rich corporations like Microsoft and Sony to be churning these things out like hot cakes given the demand but apparently not. I'm also really disappointed in the retailers who got properly done up by scalpers and just shrugged as they got their sales anyway.

At this point, I'm guessing it's going to be well into the new year before I even catch sight of a Series X like..

Capable enough rig you've got there mate, I'm tempted with the AMD GPU's this time around, they're really offering a good challenge to Nvidia now.
Roughly 2400 all told, was a completley fresh build though.
With you on the frames, you really can't go back once you've experienced it.

Nice.

It's tricky with GFX cards. I've switched between Nvidia and AMD over the years. Nvidia tend to have better drivers but, so far, they've been fine with my 5700XT. I prefer AMD as a company and the 5700XT was good value when I got it.

So true. The first time I played a game at 144Hz and FPS.

Amazing how smooth it feels.

Just upgraded from an i7 7700 and 1060 6gb to a ryzen 7 3700x and rtx 3070 :D Well chuffed
Did consider a 1660 while stock for the 30 series was up in the air. Woke up one morning at 5 am for a wee and checked the uk stock checker and managed to get the 3070. There was only 10 in stock at scan :D !!

Nice one mate, got lucky there like, effing coin miners are dominating the GPU market again.
Nice PC you've got going there now!

Yes mate, I was lucky. Cypto miners are a pain in the bum mate. Apparently Nvidia sold millions worth to them before their paper launch.

Full spec of new PC:

MSI Vampiric 010 case
MSI B550 carbon wifi motherboard
Ryzen 7 3700x
MSI RTX 3070 ventus triple OC
32gb Corsair vengeance 3600mhz CL16 RAM (argm)
6 corsair 120mm pc fans (3 in, 3 out) all argb
Gammaxx GT CPU cooler
and a custom made ARGB GPU support bracket with "Kasier Soysauce" written on it :D

I'm not allowed to use it till Xmas day though. Built it last month and the missus bought the GPU for xmas. Managed to get it out of the box to test if it booted. And seeing as it did, I sneakily installed Windows 10 pro and COD modern warfare. She got home from work just as I was about to benchmark it, so quickly put it back in the box lol!
