Computer games.

It can be the same exact game with a few minor additions (big graphical advances too) and I would be happy. When they take away features they have lost me (and they almost always do). I’d rather it be 100 percent faithful.

The combat could stand an overhaul. D&D 3rd never really suited it.

Otherwise they should stay faithful - could honestly reuse the dialogue and no one would complain. Unfortunately, they can't recapture the magic of going Palpatine on mooks for the first time, or figuring out that you can make a Jedi Master in robes virtually unhittable (even by Malak) if you do it right.

Anyone playing AC Valhalla?

Cant really figure out how to progress the story. The quests seem to be the generic ones. Im at power 203 and opened most areas bar Snotinghamshire, Hamtunshire and Wincestre.

Ravensthorpe
- a new home (reach level 5)
- breaking the order (killed 8 baddies and 7 zealots)
- viking for hire (havent done this seems like filler)
- going deeper (goes back to jotunheim)
- brief history of the hidden ones (finding bureaus (found 4)
Jotunheim
- gift from the past
- feast to remember

I feel like there an actual story but do i have to finish all these to progress? Gettin’ kinda grindy tbh.

I've given up on huge games now, don't have the time tbh. Found a better way in enjoying games. The quest 2, played table tennis with my brother then played mini golf with friends. Having more fun then grinding these huge open World games.

Go back to the map room and pledge to a new area?

The map room? Wheres that?
In the longhouse in Ravensthorpe with Randvi. Where you have to go when you finish every area. I finished it last week and the only missions you have to do to finish the story are the specific story arcs relating to each area and killing all the Order.

This link has all the main quests that you need to finish the main story.

It does get a bit grindy but for some reason I never get bored of Assassin's Creed games. Finished it last week, took me 140 hours to get the platinum but I could have quite happily carried on.

Cheers for that! They've done a great job on this one - I'd been carried away opening up new areas, leveling up, building the town and figuring out how to get into things to bother with the story.

Sat here with GOT on monitor 1, Old School RuneScape and BT Sport sharing monitor 2  just hit 73 woodcutting as I watched the Chelsea/Wolves game

I really liked it tbh. The biggest draw is always the [I assume] historically accurate setting for me and I found it fascinating how much we regressed during the dark ages. Seeing the great Roman aquaducts spanning the countryside and ruins in cities like London and York surrounded by shabby wood and thatch huts with people who had no interest in using them but not repairing them was kind of depressing.
Some of the gameplay filler was boring but as a whole I really liked it.

cant beat a proper mechanical car with hydraulic steering, I have a 6 speed Subaru - you either 'get' these cars or you don't. Blorris and his EV brainwave can shove it where the sun doesn't shine

I am firmly in the Subaru camp. I love them. Owned 3 of them (all in the US) a 99 Impreza 2.5RS (the best we had then......the biggest US subaru engine stuck in a WRX V5 chassis and sold.......165 hp, but it was the fastest Subaru sold in the US at the time)....Then that got traded for a 2002 WRX....the much maligned bug-eyed GD chassis. But lord was it well sorted after I was finished with it. That went for a Forester 2.5XT with the advent of children in my life. Modded in an understated way, ~280hp, but almost 400lb-ft of torque......just rode the torque wave and it was so gentle in its acceleration you had no idea you were suddenly doing 90........

I miss each one greatly..............

Been checking out prices of second hand GPUs and cant believe my 5 year old 1080 still sells for £300+. I swear I only spent about £400 on it to begin with

The price of PC hardware is obscene at the moment, worst it’s ever been.
The FOMO tits feeding the scalpers are just making it awful for all of us.......
