Just ordered my first ever gaming PC - a long overdue departure from console gaming. Invested in a pretty decent custom build from PC Specialist, although current global stock shortages mean I could be waiting 4 weeks or so before it arrives.

Will need to begin drawing up a list of 'essential' games that I've previously been unable to play.

Welcome to the club, mate. Any shooter is better on PC, just is. I still play lots of Overwatch which my PC is just overkill on but a steady 165 frames is just buttery smooth and hard to let go of. RTS's are obviously built for PC so Command and Conquer's remastered games? Still as brilliant as they were when I was in my teens. That aside, Elite dangerous? Half Life Alyx if you're thinking of paying it with a Oculus Quest 2 maybe but I believe they're making a non VR variant. It is a special game in VR though...

Looking through GamePass and as I enjoyed the first 3 Mass Effect games so much thought I'd give Andromeda a try...

How did they get it so wrong? The first Mass Effect had better graphics despite being 10 years older and on a previous gen of console and the dialogue really is gaming dialogue at it's worst.

Horrible, horrible mess. Doing the first mission where the two shuttles crash and I really CBA carrying on. It's just plain bad on every level.

It truly desecrates an once brilliant franchise. I bought it for 10 dollars and still feel cheated . In complete agreement it's comprehensively atrocious. Hopefully the new one they're currently creating is able to redeem the series.

I remember the old Hitman’s being a blast for sure. It just seems a fun series in general to me

Cheers - gonna take a while to actually get here given the COVID-induced shortages for parts atm.

Yeah probably gonna get Game Pass, quite a few games on there i'm interested in, not least all the Age of Empires! Also looking forward to playing Cyberpunk on a high-end machine, hoping that in the few months since release it's become a little more stable.

Just picked up 'Door Kickers 2' on Steam for £15. It's still in early access, but a load of fun!



It's like Cannon Fodder meets the old Rainbow Six.
You control a team of operatives and you have to clear out these compounds and maps/save hostages. You can pause time and queue up commands for each of the little soldiers in this top down view. So you have a choice of moving through each map and planning as you go, or you can queue up a tone of commands to clear the map in one go if you're good enough.
It starts off pretty easy but gets challenging very quickly.

It can get a little fiddly at times and not all of the features are there yet (with it being early access and all) but it is very addictive!

Great fun if you've got a mate or two to play with. Cool style. I'm not massively into 'stories', but these are quite fun. Think I've got 1 & 2.

Nice one, I think I’ll give one a go then as they’re on offer. Was looking at 3 as it’s Series X optimised but think 1/2 have better reviews
