Computer games.

cheers!

that only half makes sense to me, but I’m sure in another couple weeks it will be clear

Build your commercial districts next to rivers, construction disctrics next to mined resources, campus districts next to rainforest or mountains. Some districts will give adjacency bonuses when placed next to other districts. Try to build all available buildings in one district before building a new one as the increased bonuses are worth it. This is why it is a good idea to have different districts in different cities as well as the different terrain adjacency bonuses.

Been playing a lot of Control since it was Feb's free PS Plus game.
First off, very neat integration of the adaptive triggers. Different weapon modes have different trigger thresholds to fire so it gives a real tangible difference to each mode.
Control as a whole is a very well designed game actually. An old-school blend of live-action acting for some cutscenes mixed with its mysterious paranormal world and lore gives it a really unique setting. A bit SCP-like in some ways. Actual gameplay is really fun and at just the right mix of powerful character and challenging enemies.
On the expansions now that were also included and they're full expansions, not crappy DLC skins. Playing the Alan Wake crossover which is kinda neat and weird because Alan Wake games were never on PS.
And now that's the Platinum trophy got. Good game, but I feel pretty done with it now after both expansions that added some annoying enemies.
Well worth playing if you picked it up on PS Plus.

very glad you threw the g502 in there.. a mate of mine has it and loves it.. seems a very good choice .. ;)
Aeons ago I was a Logitech MX518 user (so much so, I bought a couple of them for when they packed in, in case Logitech ever stopped making them). The G502 is an evolution of that formfactor. I can't recommend the G502 enough. I have two (one home, one work), my son has one, I have convinced two seperate people at work to get one, and they both love it.

Its fantastic, though if you are after a super light mouse for those instant flick shots, even with all weights removed, its a chunker. But it does come with like, the best sensor in the industry......

I liked the unlockable scroll wheel on my old one.

Can't be arsed making a new thread solely for a GPU but I'm currently rocking a NVIDIA GTX 1650 Super and looking to upgrade (play mostly WoW/CoD/Witcher etc. on the PC).

Anyone recommend an improvement for ~£500

At a push, if worth it, I can spend more on something like an RTX 3080.

@Dylan you're usually good with this stuff.

The problem is availability and cards being way higher than RRP. Scalpers and crypto-miners did a job on the 3000-series cards like with new consoles. So its all a big IF: if you can find one, if you can find one at a non-extortionate price.
The recently released 3060 Ti (around £450) would be a big upgrade at a low(ish) cost, but if you can afford it and find it a 3070 (£540 to 650) or 3080 (~£750 to £950) would set you for a good few years.

What's the rest of your system like? Not much use spending big on a GPU if its going to be bottlenecked by the CPU.
Edit: And also what display? 3080 won't be worth unless you want 4k 120fps.

If you're playing 1080p the RTX 3060 is pretty much the best in the game. RTX 3060ti is great at 1080p and also solid at 1440p - pretty much run any game at ultra settings to a high standard.

If you've got the budget and will be playing 1440p or 4k then 3080 is the one. However, the stock levels at the minute are INSANE. You could be waiting 3months+ to get your hands on a 3080, the pandemic has played havoc with production.

edit: seen you're playing 1080p. If you're going to remain at 1080p then RTX 3060 is the best and not even that expensive. Stock levels for 3060 are the best of all the 3 series GPU's, too.

Yeah CPU should be fine.
A 3060 or 3060 Ti would be ideal.
I would highly recommend changing that monitor to the golden sweet spot of 27"/1440p/165Hz (something like the Dell S2721DGF). It makes a huge amount of difference.

I'd upgrade to a 3060ti and buy a Samsung G5 monitor - that's a game-changing combination for anyone previously playing on 1080p.

@LocalNative

If I upgrade my monitor to a 1440p which I plan to is the RTX 3060 still the way to go then or would the better monitor match a better GPU?

If you got deep pockets then a 3080 would obviously do very well but as you can see from the chart, at 1440p/ultra settings in new games the 3060Ti can output an average of over 110 fps. Tweaking settings and playing older games will see that go up some, too.

If you upgrade to 1440p a 3060ti is more than good enough there. As mentioned, the 3060ti will play smoothly on ultra settings across any currently released game and it's a fair price too. The standard RTX 3060 isn't really built for 1440p.

I was possibly looking at picking up this monitor this week: Amazon product ASIN B07XTVYDC3
