That's my setup. I went with the 6700 XT because it is about $400 cheaper than the 3070 despite having very similar raster performance.

Oh, and I could actually buy one.

(Miners aren't targeting it because it has a 192-bit memory bus so it's Ethereum mining performance is only 48Mh/s vs the 3060 Ti/3070 at 60Mh/s)

At 1440p the 6700xt is cranked......I have a 144hz display, so the extra 5-10% performance from the 3070 is wasted as I sit at the max refresh rate of the panel and hardly ever see dips in the stuff I play.

Over here the prices were almost identical, and the seller had better ratings than the other, so the decision made itself really.

I’m the same, my 3070 is always running at 95% or more. I play in 1440p on mostly extreme settings. Some of the modded DayZ servers are so overloaded and poorly optimised that it'll drop down to 60fps at times. I don’t think DayZ is very well optimised anyway. But at its worst its still ten times better than console ever was.

The 6700 XT has 50% more VRAM than the 3070. That may be an advantage at some point in the future.

A S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inspired DayZ modded server made with help from the original game developers. Very intrigued by this. The size of the mods combined is more than the orignal game.

It already is an advantage in some games. Ultra texture quality inn a few games is already needing 10-11Gb VRAM

It's a much simpler life on console haha. Everyone is in the same boat. I was playing DayZ with my mates the other day and I spotted something that they couldn't see. Then I got a good ribbing for showing off my 'super computer'.

Yeah, and with technology there's always something newer and better around the corner. All you can do is get the best for your needs at the best price at that point in time, which I believe I did.

This mod of S.T.A.L.K.E.R combines all three games maps together amongst lots of other cool features. Big graphical upgrade on the original as well

Noita is extremely difficult, my biggest run is 17mins but I struggle to get 10 most times ffs it's very good though if you like dying a lot

Just built up a pc for my boy and good news - it actually switches on and boots windows.

Build wasn't too bad all in all, fun project, just got flummoxed by the case fans - couldn't find a youtube instructional vid for the case I was using, and I thought you would plug them into the fan headers on the motherboard and they would be powered like that. But this didn't work for some reason and it needed a SATA connection to the power unit that took me ages to figure out.
Still not 100% sure on the setup as one fan only works connected to the mobo via a RGB header not marked fan, and refuses to work through the fan headers, but it's spinning away OK.

Recently got a Series S with xbox game pass. Very impressed so far. I never owned an xbox one so I haven't played the played the majority of the recent Halo or Gears games.

Depends on your type of game really. The like RPG like Fallout 4, Witcher and Skyrim

Xbox version out at end of the month. The Top Gun free DLC at the end looks tidy
