Computer games.

A select few have been playing the Network Test of this and it seems the overall consensus is that it's good... really good.

Most seem to say it brings what they've learned from their 3 main IP's (Souls, Bloodbourne & Sekiro) and have taken it all to the next level in an open world environment.

Looks like the game world will be huge as well. The network test is restricted to the first main open area which accounts for a fraction of the game world and by all accounts that area is pretty damn big.

Properly looking forward to this now!

Easily my most anticipated game, the network test stuff I’ve seen genuinely looks incredible!

I don't know why but I have bought FM22, definitely looks a bit more polished this year, I didn't buy last year and may not do every year if UI is all you are paying for. Already had DCL put a transfer request in because I wouldn't sell to Newcastle for £52m lol
This is the first Football manager since 2010 that I haven't bought at launch.

Same reasons as you feel a bit of regret, the game doesn't change too much in a 12 month cycle.

Also I'm too much into rust to play anything else

BF2042 is disappointing. Poor performance and the graphics are somehow downgraded from previous games and look worse than BF4 at times, presumably because of the increased player count. The maps all look quite basic and undetailed as well, lots of big open spaces of nothingness, building interiors lack detail. Not sure I will be buying it once the 10 hour trial ends. Feels very unpolished. Should have stuck with 64 players and not got rid of the class system.
I posted the other day that I thought the maps were too big, even for 128 players. A few more hours in on the trial, and I still think the same. Too much time is spent running through huge open spaces for minutes at a time, only to be one-shotted by a bullet sponge once I finally get to an objective. The last bit is probably my problem, but I think the games are so long simply because you spend so much time getting from a to b, rather than being involved in combat.

Completely out of the loop so the first I heard of that was on here. Checked a YouTube video and I was expecting to see something amazing. It really isn't.

Worrying how much time and resources studios like Bethesda and RockStar are putting into drivel like this and the online now. Of course it's where the money is but they've gone from genuinely exciting makers of game changing.....erm games, to cynical cashgrabbers over the last couple of console generations.
The thing you have to hope for, is that while the studio might become turd, the people who made those great games mostly move on and keep producing great works under a different/new studio. For example the likes of Chris Avellone, a designer on some big hits like Planescape: Torment, KOTOR2, Fallout 2 and New Vegas, but now works as a freelancer and on projects like Divinity Original Sin 2 and the Pathfinder games.
My point is, look for the people behind the games not just at the name of the studio.

TBF if Starfield isn't a success that studio is going to be in a very difficult place.

It does look amazing - deliberately not watching too much as I don't want to spoil it.

OTOH, one of the best DS3 pvp-ers has done a vid showing that basically all DS3 glitches are present and exploitable in the current ER network test. This is something that prob 95% of players will not care too much about, but it is potentially very bad for pvp. lol at the idea of someone running round the map on day one of Elden Ring bow glitching players to death.

I only play pvp on Souls games, pretty much, so it's an interesting perspective check that fromsoft do not give a shiny [Poor language removed] about this.

Dusting off the PS4 this weekend. Never played red dead redemption. Is it worth investing in? Or is it outdated and past it’s sell by date?
If its the first, then yeah, you can tell its old and a product of its time, but still worth the story to play through. If its RDR2, then its still pretty fantastic.
