Computer games.

Hooked on the new FM. It's definitely the best release in years, all updates make sense and are coherent for once.

After a very dubious first season in charge of Fiorentina, i've started the season with 7 wins on the trot and no goals conceded. Haven't played any of the big boys just yet, but the tactic of 'selling big and buying youngsters cheap' still works a treat.

Enjoying it more this game than the previous few. However, still feel it’s too easy and I’m not someone using a ‘mechanic exploiting’ tactic

Yeah I'm using a tactic I created myself too. But tbf the game would be crap if you weren't doing well, so I can see why they've maybe made it 'easier'. I think all around it's the most enjoyable FM in years.

I've got a huge backlog of unplayed games I've bought in the last 6-9 months. Life has just been dominated by university, and FF14. Coincidentally, my graduation is the day before the new FF14 expansion.

At some point, I need to get through these:
Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines
Rift Breaker
Mass Effect Andromeda
Endless Space 2
Chernobylite
Pathfinder Kingmaker

But with Endwalker on the way, not sure when I'll get the chance.

Loved this game.

Looks like the free version of GTA San Andreas is available on games pass for the Xbox only, not PC.

Couldn't find any specific info in the run up to today other than it would be on games pass, so that's a shame.

Had a little go before.

It kind of looks nice with the new lighting but it's not the ground up rebuild that the full price release would justify. Everything looks pretty similar to the original albeit at a higher resolution. The city feels really empty compared to later titles and some of the textures and clipping are very ropey looking. Character models look pretty much identical and even move the same.

If I was paying out the asking price for the commercial release I'd feel very shortchanged.

Yeah I wasn’t expecting much. No chance I’m paying £55 for it.

I might pick it up if it drops to £20 or so. Not worth any more than that.

Seems good from what I've played but my PC is crap.

Fortunately if I do decide this is the motivation to upgrade I'm more into stuff like FM, Civilization and Crusader Kings on the PC so a good set-up for me won't be that expensive.

Even £20 would be at the high end for me. It reminds me of the resolution mods and graphical updates you see on Steam for stuff like Fallout or Skyrim. The difference being those mods are free.
I’m a cheap skate and rarely pay more than that for games. There’s so many good games out there that I rarely jump on a new release. Last game I bought at launch was RDR2.

I think that might be mine as well come to think of it!

I've still not got round to picking up Cyberpunk despite really looking forward to it. The botched launch was enough to put me off and from what I've seen of it now it looks a bit hollow.

A select few have been playing the Network Test of this and it seems the overall consensus is that it's good... really good.

Most seem to say it brings what they've learned from their 3 main IP's (Souls, Bloodbourne & Sekiro) and have taken it all to the next level in an open world environment.

Looks like the game world will be huge as well. The network test is restricted to the first main open area which accounts for a fraction of the game world and by all accounts that area is pretty damn big.

Properly looking forward to this now!
