How hard it is? I gave up on bloodbourme
It's pretty hard like every souls game but the open world makes it actually fun to grind up your skills/weapons now unlike in previous FromSoftware games. I've been treating it like a MMO, I was getting destroyed by the first main boss so decided to leave and go exploring until I was ready. This was way more fun than spending hours trying to kill it with a basic weapon/armour. It’s filled with handicaps like summoning, armor sets, stats etc & now to make it even easier there is spirits on top of summons, their is ways to make the game 'easier' for sure.

They've made a lot of concessions to to ease the difficulty for newer players. The open world means if you hit a wall somewhere, there's plenty more to go off and do elsewhere until you improve your character. The Ash Summons are a welcome addition and have helped me through a couple of bosses and summoning co-op players to help you seems to have been streamlined as well.

Not watched this specific review but that guy reviewing is a complete helmet, proper sad angry middle aged man who goes on massive rants about SJWs, Feminism etc. He’s probably one of the most unlikeable aand grimmest youtubers going once you actually realise how grim his views on life are. Funniest thing is he dishes out criticism all the time but then has mental breakdowns when people criticise him and starts deleting all their comments and making angry videos about his haters etc. He’s a proper weirdo and a massive snowflake which is ironic because he loves to call everyone else snowflakes.

He comes across as a very bitter man who seems to think the 'golden age of gaming' has passed and everything new isn't worth your time.
There is an argument for the quantity over quality approach of some modern game franchises, but if you go in with the mindset that you wont like something from the outset, then that's a big problem if you are a reviewer.

Thing is, it's good to have reviewers who call out bad practices and rushed production from game devs, but it's hard to take them seriously when they are angry, miserable, arseholes by default

I've a big backlog of Xbox games lined up..

Finished assassin's creed Odyssey finally. Superb game.

Started Farcry 5. Cleared first area, started second area but got bored...

Currently on Starwars Jedi Fallen Order.. so far not bad!!

Next, most likely assassin's creed Valhalla..

Could do with an open world fantasy game tbh. Skyrim style if anyone knows any!! ?

Ni No Kuni 2 The Revenant Kingdom is awesome, ELEX is decent, I enjoyed it, as well, Kingdom Come Deliverance.

Elex looks like it has potential.. Elex two out next month I see!!

Ni no kuni 2.. not on Xbox I don't think. Is it one of those build your own city type games? I'm not keen on those like civilisation..
Ni No Kuni is an JRPG usual stuff, explore, fight, loot beat bosses but you also build a kingdom but it's not a city builder like Civ etc it's a full on RPG. Yeah Elex 2 looking forward too it.

I finished the first one on Switch and loved it. Quite funny dialogue too. The 2nd sounds like it’s fairly different from what you say…that part about building your kingdom. Nothing like that in the first game

Yeah apparently so, i havent played the first one but i read it's different, you buy different buildings like shops for your gear or food and you recruit people on your adventure, different people have different skill sets and you try to put the best people in the best positions but not always possible, its good

Anyone played Cyberpunk since the latest big update? Seen it’s on offer for £25 atm so thought about getting it for Series X…
I finished the main story last year, long before the patch, and didn't experience anything remotely game-breaking, although it did run pretty rough in places. But I downloaded it again once the patch was released, and it now runs so much smoother on the Series X - I had a go at a few side missions, etc., and there's a huge leap in its performance. I had a lot of fun with it, and there's a lot there for your £25, so I'd definitely recommend it.

Far Cry 5 is great - I loved the gameplay and setting. It's worth going back to if you get the chance/urge (but I know all about game backlogs). The story is decent and I like what they did with New Dawn after it. That said, Jedi Fallen Order is good fun, too.

Having just finished Far Cry 6 and all its DLC, I'm wondering what to start next - I'm thinking of AC Valhalla, but I've waited so long I may just jump straight in to the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC when it's released in a couple of weeks (apparently you can start it by automatically levelling up).

I’m biased as I’m a big AC fan but I would definitely give Valhalla a go now if you are looking for something to play. The parkour and stealth elements aren’t as important which is slightly annoying but it’s a great game. Think I put in around 100 hours on it to get the platinum and I still go back to it every now and then to just roam around a bit. There have already been the Ireland and France expansions which are good but Ragnarok looks really good. Need to finish off Horizon Forbidden West before that comes out through
