Computer games.

Has anyone done Valheim? I haven't played it since the initial early access launch, waiting for a full release before playing, seems to be getting plenty of updates but still no release date. It won GOTY and is still in early access which I find bizarre.

Found the permanent invasion finger last night on ER - got the right item by complete chance. Now let the bloodshed begin in the name of almighty Mohg the Luminary.

You can't invade a solo player in ER, unless that player has used an item to opt-in, afaik. Only invade players co-oping.
This is OK I guess, because Dark Souls has its fair share of low level griefers and it will end that (probably). But a limit of 4 players in the world, never a co-invader, is going to make the red game super hard and is a bit of a pandering decision from Miyazaki imho.

He gave a rare interview last week:

So I thought the map for Elden Ring was big... now I find out there's a whole underground map as well... ?

There's genuinely so many spectacular places to explore in this game.

Want to get this but I know it will be too hard
The open world makes the game way more accessible than Dark Souls. You can just leg it round doing what you want. Go anywhere on the available map - the game is stunning to look at.

The main story levels in castles etc though is pure Dark Souls 4 and the bosses are nails hard. Think 30 - 40 goes to beat them - you either love this or hate it I guess.
You can, however, summon other players (and npcs) to help you (co-op) which makes a MASSIVE difference. So you would never get completely stuck.

I mean it's amazing but also pretty committing - not a game to just dip in and out of unless you've played a lot of Souls so know the basic gameplay structures already.

Gran Turismo 7 currently at 88 on Metacritic from 95 reviews. Really need to get Horizon Forbidden West finished before Friday

I started it the other day and just started improving levels. I think I'll try to get to level 20 before any boss battles. I know from software don't do them but I would prefer a pause screen. Can be quite annoying in a busy house and makes it harder to play.

On another note just before Elden Ring came out I got to the last boss on Returnal. Exceptional game, can be a tad repetitive but when you finally beat a boss it's great.

You can't pause!?
