Computer games.

Which one is the only one that's working - which slot and which stick? Can you move them around, like swap places 1 and 2 and see what happens.

Reseat the sticks anyway, good to try anyway lol

There's a BIOS option called XMP, try turning it on/off and see what happens.

If none of those work - plug it all off, take the CMOS battery (looks like a watch battery, inside the case), hold the power button with the power off for an extra power cycle and put the battery back in and plug it back in. This will reset BIOS settings back to normal, you might have a confused clock when you boot up but it should be fine.
Swapped them round.. both working now! Mustn't have pushed one in properly.. 👍 32gb running now!!

I find them worse but, again, I'm tech old. Too much BS going on in them now, for me; UEFI blah blah blah.
In all fairness I'm kind of same, but for the most part "Default" works, and has basic explanations that are good enough for the Layman, i.e. "Use this option if your hardware is newer/you plan on using an installation past X.X.20XX/you have an SSD or NVME" and so on, which you'd assume people will know.

Then again, it varies from system to system. The most intuitive ones are naturally the most corporate ones - the HP Z8 and Dell Precision 7-series megatowers with the dual CPU and the modular everythings have self tests and self diagnostics with all the bells and whistles that are honestly convenient if you're looking for a temp fault or something similar or small - it just goes part by part in testing everything, pretty cool.

The workstation Z's are horrible though - as basic as it gets and everything is named something different for some reason or hidden in some random menu, it felt, even on the current gens.
