They are and they're not stories tbh, but I get the sentiment. Again, if it wasn't also pay-to-play I'd consider going back (or just play on pirate servers) but cba going into it, plus the game gets worse as it goes imo. Guild Wars 2 is just superior if you want to grind as it has about 10 years of content anyway.Just couldn't get into WoW. I'm glad I didn't to be honest, the stories you hear of no life-ing on mmos is terrifying. Tab target gameplay is so dead now to me in any event. I enjoyed D4 playthrough but I wouldn't grind on it.
D1 was one of the best gaming experiences of my life, and it's been copium ever since trying to replicate that! D2 was good though. They are and they're not stories tbh, but I get the sentiment. D4 had a decent story and cinematics but 90% of what was around it was turbo crap. No idea how they took a game about killing hordes of demons and made it feel boring, that's the true achievement. The cope from an insufferable mate right now is that "a few seasons in and several new patches and it feels much better", as if it's not been over a year at this point
D1 was great but a bit before my time, though I've played it, D2:LoD I've grinded a life away (and kind of still do in D2 Resurrected) that I still remember some stuff like runewords/items by heart Everything after that is a very steep decline, but it's to be expected by a small indie studio with no money like BlizzardD1 was one of the best gaming experiences of my life, and it's been copium ever since trying to replicate that! Yes because that’s what people use VR for…Can it run Crysis 2 on ultra?

What platform and how old is it?Bought, downloaded, installed, played through, finished, uninstalled.
I am a Warhammer nerd. Both fantasy (not AOS though) and 40k. I have been looking forward to this game for quite a while.
It was good. But I have no appetite for multiplayer. So I am done with it for now unless there is a major content release.
If everyone enjoys 40k, may I recommend Space Hulk. It's a lot slower paced, and you play as a Dark Angel Terminator vs an Ultramarine Primaris reborn Astartes. Lots of Tyranid Genestealers to shred, tons of atmosphere with great graphics and sound and lots of alien butchering weapons that are much better than the ranged weapons in SM2 IMO
Agree Call of Duty has been aweful for years.Sunset overdrive is probably one of the most underrated Xbox exclusives ever created, I wish they made a sequel.
Nowadays I'm not one to buy a game without looking at gameplay/reviews first so I usually avoid really bad games like redfall and gollum etc. My top 5 are more games that disappointed me
Runescape EOC release (2012)
Any new Call of Duty game (latest one + cold war are passable)
Most of the Assassin's Creed games post Syndicate.
Starfield
GTA V
Assuming @Dylan didn't mean the original Space Hulk game from 93 (or the top-down strategy from 2013) -What platform and how old is it?
Hadn't played any AC since forever (and never really did so seriously), but trying Valhalla currently and it's... okay, really. I honestly don't get much of the hype and, reading through reviews, I have no idea what game they were playing. I'm aware it's a bit older now obviously but some of the voice acting, mocap, AI are just horrid, yet being praised.Agree Call of Duty has been aweful for years.
The Assassins creed games are still very playable. Syndicate and Black Flag were really good though!
Starfield I enjoyed and I want to go back to now its had a few more updates..
GTA V at the time was incredible..

Steam deck is a great bit of kit and will emulate all the old consoles and handhelds.Alright lads/lasses, a while back someone said they'd gotten/looked at a minipc/hardware emulator for NES games and the likes.
Seeing as the search function wasn't useful, anyone got recommendations for this? Father in law used to be a big fan and dug one of those old bootleg SNES consoles out of the attic, but it was FUBAR, so now we're thinking of getting him something similar to these so he can experience some quality nostalgia.
