Bought a couple of Meta Quests 3s for Xmas for me and my daughter.
I had assumed that the 'S' version would be superior to the 3...like it is with Porsche's/cars. I now know that's not the case.
Should I exchange them for the 3, or keep what I have? Neither of us have had VR headsets before, and I've never had anything beyond a PS2 or 3. She is 13 and has a Switch.
Will the enjoyment of a S diminish for a pair of VR novices, and end up replacing down the line.

The main difference between them is visual fidelity and not a huge amount at that from what I've read.
You'll be fine with them, enjoy, you'll have a blast precisely because you are novices.

Finally caved in and picked up Balatro. Went for the mobile version as that seems to be when I'd be most likely to play it.
It's like a cross between poker and solitaire with some deck building and rougue-like elements.
I was warned in advance that it is highly addictive and I can confirm it is in fact crack cocaine in card game format.

Lies of P is very good if you like the fromsoft style. Wasn't expecting too much from it, thought it would be just a fun bloodborne tribute. But it delivers massive on story / feel plus some nice twists on Dark Souls mechanics. It's also a very linear game, and the movement isn't quite there at fromsoft levels.
Korean company (Neowiz) - don't know what other games they have made, but this is an incredible effort if it's their first attempt at a Souls-like.

Yeah they did look a bit off but looking back at the W3 cinematic they was similarly iffy for whatever reason, so I imagine it will be much better ingame.

I think this is my next purchase after recently loving Inscryption - seriously if you haven't played it yet, buy it. Don't even read anything about it because its way better blind. Buy it and play it repeatedly. So good.

CDPR engine's npc had the 1000 yard stare at all times, this is just a different variation of uncanny valley, and UE5 isn't really that fantastic at making every face as detailed as it could be. I mean they could fix up some things during optimisation (especially main characters obviously) for sure but the trailer was mostly gameplay anyway. It will still be a great game imho.Funniest part is still the incels FUMING about having to play as a w*man now though.
