Computer games.

In short, the new GTA game next year is making developers refuse to commit to release dates of their games. Makes sense imo considering how huge that's going to be.
Another year, pretty much. Wasn't forecasting having grey pubes for gta 6 when 3 came out.

So last night I corrected something I'd done purely by accident.
I'd let my boys play as themselves on FIFA 23 thinking thatd be the most fun. Then I got a hockey and a basketball for free and installed them expecting the boys to just got head to head and have fun.
They hadn't after a few weeks and I asked why. They thought it was solo, LIKE FIFA.
So they played NBA 2k maybe and had loads of fun with legendary teams then yesterday I'm like, you guys know FIFA is the same, right?
I guess gaming common knowledge shouldn't be expected from 11 year olds. My bad.

Cba with reviewers, what would you say it plays like? Tomb Raider? Those Star Wars with the ginge? Uncharted?
It’s quite different to them as it’s almost entirely 1st person. The 3rd person bits are largely cosmetic as opposed to making a huge difference to the gameplay. There are similarities though given those games borrow a lot from Indy in the first place.

If you are a fan of Indiana Jones in general though I think you will like it. Good puzzles and gathering information rather than just being lead down a narrative path. I think they’ve really nailed the feeling of it being an Indiana Jones game rather than just making Uncharted or Tomb Raider with an Indy skin.

EDIT: Also if you have Game Pass Ultimate it’s free to play.

Also announced was Naughty Dog's new game which is called Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Their first new IP in over a decade. Really looking forward to seeing more about this although I'm guessing it will be a couple of years at least before it releases.

Yeah, those two stood out for me, plus Outer Worlds 2. I also stress that we're years away from seeing either of them. After delays, I'm guessing 2028 for The Witcher 4?
Will be interesting to see given the stage we are at with the current console generation. If Sony go with their recent pattern then PS6 should release in late 2027. Naughty Dog have released The Last of Us and TLOU 2 right at the end of the console generations so wonder if they are aiming for the same here.

Imagine Witcher will take longer as CD Projekt will not be risking a launch like Cyberpunk again.

A lot of great games to be found there to be fair.

Even though the Witcher trailer looks like piss, it's a new game at least so that's cool.

The rest of the games are genuinely exciting, and Thick as Thieves is made by the guy who made Thief 3 and Deus Ex (ex-Looking Glass director), so it's something to look forward to as well.
