Computer games.

the 1997 original is still my all-time number 1...something about it is just magical perfection. also got the 4cd audio soundtrack, such evocative addictive melodies...

not played the Remake.
Yeah the '97 VII was boss. So much to do in the game! Gold saucer was brilliant, can't wait to see how they do that in the remake. Plus the story and characters are peerless.

The remake (Part 1) is really cool. Really brilliant visuals, sounds, and the battle system has a cleverly updated system that honours the ATB system but adds in new ideas that work seamlessly well. Hits all the key notes of disc one of the 97' original and features all the great set-pieces... The opening reactor bombing, the Midgar Bike chase, the Shinra Lab infilitration.... Definitely worth your time.

Never played that one, just seen there's a few...is the first one considered the best?

aye, ps1/ps2 consoles are so cheap on ebay... Most games too, tho' i had to stretch the wallet a bit for Dino Crisis.
I only ever played the original and 2.inthink they had a couple of psp releases too.

I loved the first one.

Capcom need to re-release these for PSN or maybe even remake them for current generation consoles. Great games them.
I'd love a reboot of it.

Kinda stealthy, kinda shoot the crap out of everything.

I remember one level in some tunnels that themselves descended over 3 or 4 levels with limited ammo stashed in alcoves and wave after wave of enemy.

Proper relief when I finally cleared that :pint2:

Unpopular opinion but I would LOVE a remake of Dirge of Cerberus. That game was ahead of its time and 3rd person action RPGs have come a looong way since then. That modular weapon upgrade system was so fun back then, it would be so good now.

Yeah I had that on ps2. Goes for a pretty sum on ebay now, wish I'd kept it. Bonkers game mechanics and oddball story and characters. Great fun though. Very underrated

Trying my best to get into Humankind but I just can't get pulled in, not like Civ. I want Old World but will have to wait. Only 2 skaters left to 100% on Tony Hawks but nowhere near completing all the challenges. I have 6 of 12 pro challenges done and 2/6 legend done, all the rookie ones are complete

Shadowrun Trilogy released on console later this month. Never played the originals... highly rated back in the day apparently....anyone had a go of them? Any good?

I've got all of them, great if you're into isometric RPG's plenty of customisation, proper fantasy in a cyberpunk setting, tactical battles like x-com

Callisto Protocol looks like it could be superb, out in December. Not a fan of pre ordering games anymore though so will wait a week or so when it’s out

X-com was great! First one was better for me though. Difficulty in the second one was ramped up to insane, couldn't persevere with it as it got too frustrating missing an 85 percent shot when the alien was right mext to you!

Deliver us the moon (Ps4 Pro)

Nice absorbing exploration/puzzle/adventure drama with some wonderful visuals and music and a nicely paced story which offers some tension, head-scratching puzzles and a rewarding sense of discovery. I fancied something new that didn't involve killing and violence and this is a pleasant switch of pace.
