Confirmed: Martinez New Everton Manager - All Reaction Here

Three clubs with terrible records of picking managers, like.

Moyes was on 3 million here, anyway.

"Expect Martinez to have money to spend with the TV deal and some saving on Moyes .....Moyes was taking about 5 million a year out the club, I don't expect Martinez to be earning that" .... Greg O'Keefe on Talksport this afternoon.

I nearly crashed the car.

do you not see how small time he makes the club look?

If you mean when Moyes was interviewed, that was the reality then. So no, I dont think Bill nor RM made us look smalltime today, at all. Bill played to the gallery all right, but that is what he does, love it or hate it. RM spoke well, correctly, and with some class, that is the Everton way.

ffs..

One thing I will say about hiring Martinez - we now actually have a chance of winning a trophy. Under Moyes, we had literally no chance whatsoever.

So, in a way, I'm happy with this appointment, as at least watching Everton will be interesting this season, for good or bad.

If anything, Kenwright made Martinez appear small time, which in turn makes the club look bigger than Martinez. I wouldn't say Kenwright endorsed his new manager properly, let's put it that way.

Wouldnt disagree with that mate. Thought some of what bill said was awful TBH. But hey hoe. Agree with you re next season.
Peace out. R

Backroom staff.

Graeme Jones (Assistant Manager)- Played as a striker for Wigan. He was assistant manager at Hamilton Academical and has been with Martinez since the Swansea days.

Graham Barrow (First Team Coach)- Played as a midfielder for Wigan. He was assistant manager to Mark Wright at Chester when Martinez played for them. He's managed a few teams himself and has been with Martinez since 2009.

Inaki Bergara (Goalkeeping Coach)- He played for Real Sociedad and has been on Martinez's staff since the beginning.

Kevin Reeves (Chief Scout)- Played as a forward for City. He has scouted for Swansea and Stoke and joined Roberto at Wigan.

Got to say lads, change is exciting. Moyes gave us fantastic stability at a good level and for that has my thanks.

Hopefully Martinez can build on that and genuinely take us forward. If we can go into next season with a few more players than we have now (looking at you Bill) then I'll have high hopes.

Graeme Jones is also a highly sought after coach, who was Swansea's first choice to replace Rodgers last summer (before Laudrup), and was actually interviewed by them, before he turned them down to remain at Wigan.
