Dear David, thanks for leaving us with an ageing squad, record levels of debt, no obvious progress signs of progress in terms of league position in the last five years since your last bumper contract, and letting your deal run down so we won't get any compensation for your moving on.

All the best mate xx

He's left us with a fine squad. I don't see any reason to be bitter about it.

That's top trolling.

If true,a massive risk by Man Utd. I think this may end in tears for David Moyes.
Regardless,I wish him well,he certainly did a very good job at Everton and I look forward to seeing Utd playing a defensive formation at home to Hull with RVP and Rooney on the bench.

He wont tho

Yep, the record levels of debt are clearly down to the football manager.

No chance. He's gone. He's putting himself first.

Just wish the git had signed a contract to get us compensation - knowing full well Kenwright would have let him go to United - contract or not

yep hes ****ed us over. as you said BK would let him go

Hi, how are things in Never Never Land?

He's left us with a fine squad. I don't see any reason to be bitter about it.

In a nutshell.

Some pretty bitter remarks here. He's going from us to Man Utd - why are people taking offence from this? Like it or not, he's going to one of the biggest clubs in the world, possibly the biggest.

I'm proud to call him our manager of 11 years and personally wish him all the best, even though I wish Man Utd themselves no good luck whatsoever.

We will survive. It'll be challenging but we can come out of this strongly and I think predictions of us suddenly sliding down the table are overly pessimistic.

In EVERTON we trust.

There really was nothing much the board could do regarding a new contract for David Moyes.
He made it clear he wasn't going to do anything until the end of the season. He made it clear last summer that he wanted the Spurs job and would have left then .
Unfortunately in a democracy a manager has the right not to sign a new contract when it is offererd to him...or not.

some sense of the toffee web forum - And if Man Utd appoint someone else does Moyes then sign a new contract ? Kevin Ratcliffe talking on radio said "Moyes thinks he has become bigger than EFC and the board should never allowed this situation to happen."
Why didn't they make him sign a one year extension in January , so if he does go the club would get some compensation .

How do you 'make' someone sign a new contract? Are we talking about use of fire-arms?
