CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Today it's been proven to me that sports journalists literally know jack **** about the game they are supposed to cover.

Today I've read that moyes plays attacking, attractive football and that he's willing to give youth a chance (that gem is sat right up on the bbc sport page right now). Moyes has many strengths, but let's face it, they're not an example of them.

Possibly, but while investors do look for short term success, they also look for long term stability, and Mourinho is hardly renowned for his loyalty.

I was thinking more about stakeholders terror at a short-term share price drop than anything else. It depends on the narrative that goes around the appointment, I guess, and one of stability and continuity can certainly be built around a Moyes one.

It looks like everyone who isn't employed to have an opinion is sure Moyes has gone anyway. Weird. And also funny, if true, that the guy who finally established Everton as the better team on Merseyside now replaces the guy who usurped Liverpool as the most successful team in the country.

If Moyes leaves then I wish him luck. He has had a good run with us, and done so on a small budget. You can't fault him for going to a bigger club.

This must have been what it was like in the USSR when Pravda decided to re-invent someone.

FFS, running down your contract and leaving at the end of it isn't '****ing over' anybody. Why should he have signed a contract he didn't intend to see out ? Just so we get a couple of mill compo ? No.

Corrected that for you, Mr. B.

(y)

You're welcome.

The fans are partly to blame, we have given kenwright a free ride for years now and when we bring in someone who cant spend wise like moyes we will be down the table should of backed the BU when we had the chance

Well now that there is lots of smoke coming from the Old Trafford Towers it would seem appropriate that Bill should have sounded Moyes out. Sure we know managers get sounded out and then compo follows. I know Moyes wants to know what his situation is here but it seems that he might jump (and who can blame him) leaving us empty handed. We are the fools for not covering this... Although if Moyes is wanted by United BEFORE his contract is expired there should still be a decent amount of compensation - he will still be looking to leave whilst under contract.

Unlike Gosling there definitely has been the presumption of a new contract. Moyes is a manager not a "worker"

I thought you said Moyes defo wasn't going to United.

If I did then I was wrong, I have however always believed he was leaving Everton at the end of the season as it didn't take a genius to see he had one foot out the door and the way this whole situation has gone down today leaves me smelling a rat.

Come in Bill Kenwright, it seems you have been played like the sucker you are
