CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

The Daily Mail are saying that Vitor Pereira of FC Porto is being lined up by Everton to replace Moyes.

Out of contract in the summer, unsure of his future, and has already stated that he wants to manage in England. Never enjoyed a proffesional playing career either - comparisons with Andre Villas-Boas and Jose Mourinho are obviously inevitable.

Moyes has taken us as far as he can and he's done well in terms of being able to spot lower-level talent that could play in the Premier League and make us consistent mentions for Europe, if not actually contenders. I just don't agree with those who seem to think he's the best thing since sliced bread and that we're certs for the drop when he goes. A new manager with new ideas, one who isn't afraid to play the likes of Barkley, Vellios and Duffy a little more often and drop the likes of "One Good Game in 20" Osman, might actually spark this club into going forward, not backward.

How much more forward can we go though - without investement the obvious arguement is that 6th place is as best as it gets? David Moyes certainly hasn't taken us backwards in the last ten years

It would have been nice if Moyes had signed some sort of deal which would have guaranteed the club compensation, but it's not something I'd expect him to do. He isn't an Evertonian and is, quite rightly, only interested in looking after himself.

If there's one thing you could say for him it's that he's saved Everton a lot of money over the years, so this doesn't sting too bad.

This made me LOLOLOL
I just don't understand that manner of thinking, Notts Forest have won two European cups, so that means there's no way they could end up in league one right?

We're not special.

Talksport saying there are reports from 'sources'that Moyes is off to United. I give him a season if he's lucky. Frank OFarrell/Wilf McGuinness mark 2.

EXCLUSIVE: Everton say Manchester United have not made an official approach for David Moyes. Would Moyes be a good replacement for Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford?

This just popped up on my fb.
They don't need to as he's out of contract after two more matches.

Now thats more like it

Paul Tyrell, the Merseyside club’s director of communications, said: “There has been no approach by Manchester United to Everton regarding manager David Moyes.
“The relationship is such between both clubs that any contact would be made officially through the club.
“David is still under contract at Everton and so any approach would be official.”

Talksh1te said Moyes has become Man Utd manager 2 hours ago. Now they have changed what they had reported??

That was from hours ago.

I hope he proves you wrong.

Why do you want Man U and Moyes to be succesful? serious question.

How does that in any way, shape or form have any bearing on Everton?

I am grateful for what he has done at Everton, but when he goes and the manner in which he has left (running down his contract) isn't leaving me feeling too good and wanting to buy him a carriage clock for his good work.
