CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Why do you want Man U and Moyes to be succesful? serious question.

How does that in any way, shape or form have any bearing on Everton?

I am grateful for what he has done at Everton, but when he goes and the manner in which he has left (running down his contract) isn't leaving me feeling too good and wanting to buy him a carriage clock for his good work.

Why would i basically wish Moyes to fail though? Thats basically what he is doing and for me its totally uncalled for.

No issue with Moyes leaving for United, he deserves it.

Issue with him putting his interests before his obligations to Everton, however. He was earning 65 thousand pounds a week and the least he could have done was act in our best interests. Baines will be off, and you can definitely see why he bought a replacement left back in Oviedo after all.

Not looking forward to getting the united phonies who can't make that team, although would snap hands off for hernandez.

Interesting times. As for a manager I'd take Vitor, could bring some players with him. I'd take Defour.

I guess when Moyes was on that Monday Night Football a few weeks a go, Gary Neville must have got chatting to him and put a good word in to SAF.

Because I respect the man and what he's done for the club. He's carried himself well and been an excellent ambassador for what Everton are about.

i was proud to have him as manager.

Being officially confirmed now. Good luck Davey thanks for what you have done for us but I for one will not weep

FORZA EVERTON

How much more forward can we go though - without investement the obvious arguement is that 6th place is as best as it gets? David Moyes certainly hasn't taken us backwards in the last ten years

Didn't say he had. But even without the investment, we were in the hunt for fourth a good part of the season. However, I feel his negative tactics and often-puzzling substitutions (or lack of any) cost us enough points to take us out of the running. Why was Osman in the side every game, ahead of Barkley, when he was mostly invisible during games? Why was Vellios not given more of a chance when it became painfully obvious neither Anichebe nor Jelavic were going to score on a regular basis? Because Moyes is afraid to take risks, even when relegation is nowhere near the picture.

Moyes has taken us as far as he can and he's done well in terms of being able to spot lower-level talent that could play in the Premier League and make us consistent mentions for Europe, if not actually contenders. I just don't agree with those who seem to think he's the best thing since sliced bread and that we're certs for the drop when he goes. A new manager with new ideas, one who isn't afraid to play the likes of Barkley, Vellios and Duffy a little more often and drop the likes of "One Good Game in 20" Osman, might actually spark this club into going forward, not backward.

That's not really the way I view it. The way I see it is that anyone new isn't going to do more for Everton without financial backing. We'll end up with the same league position or worse. I don't think that's doom and gloom, just the reality of the situation. The squad needs to be bigger and better, and that's not on Moyes imo.

No it's not.

Although it looks very much like it will happen.

I'm not worried about us not having Moyes, but I am worried that it's another decade of negative NET spend for the board. They'll not go for a big name who demands a transfer budget, they'll go for the cheap option - possibly even promoting from within which means the likes of ****e Stubbs or Round - somebody who will agree with their prudence and lack of investment.

Gutted. That's what I am scared about.

Cups, cups, cups, cups.

Derbies, Derbies, Derbies.

Style of football, playing kids.

If we can't break into the top 4 no matter who oru manager is then we shouldn't judge managers on league positions. But on the other stuff. You can excite crowds without gettign 4th.

It would have been nice if Moyes had signed some sort of deal which would have guaranteed the club compensation, but it's not something I'd expect him to do. He isn't an Evertonian and is, quite rightly, only interested in looking after himself.

If there's one thing you could say for him it's that he's saved Everton a lot of money over the years, so this doesn't sting too bad.

He has looked after himself ok 65k per week and a chairman he hardly ever sees - he might struggle at Man U but good luck to him but he could have earned the club some compensation if he takes some of our star players what will fans think of him then????

Why would i basically wish Moyes to fail though? Thats basically what he is doing and for me its totally uncalled for.

Because he is off to manage Man United, the club who's fans sing about scousers every single week regardless of who they are playing.

We have no affinity to Man U and never will.

I want him to bomb and Everton to do better than them

Tell me who is right and who is wrong here?

If Moyes becomes Man Utd's manager before the end of the season he'll be a Premier League winner!!!!!!!!

(yes, I am joking).
