Cups, cups, cups, cups.

Derbies, Derbies, Derbies.

Style of football, playing kids.

If we can't break into the top 4 no matter who oru manager is then we shouldn't judge managers on league positions. But on the other stuff. You can excite crowds without gettign 4th.

I guess that depends on what cost. I certainly don't want Roberto Martinez passing us down to the Championship.

I'm sure someone's already said this, but why would Man United appoint a manager who's never won anything but the third tier?

Laudrup should have been asked a few months ago, before he signed a new contract with Swansea. But then that would have indicated that we had a Plan B........

I agree mate but we had a Rafael thread a month back and the bile that was spewed has convinced me that there is nothing that Rafael could do to win the fan base at large over. Plus, it's not like he would be magnaminous if he got teh job. He'd stomp in thinking he's fantastic and that would just annoy the fan base more

Rafael is out due to his Liverpool links

Lennon is out due to the Sectarian elements of the fan base (And I'm really sad to say that I'm not exagerating)

Hughes is out cos he's rubbish

Myself, I would rule Lennon out for HIS sectarianism.

Plus, he's mega she-hite.

Didn't say he had. But even without the investment, we were in the hunt for fourth a good part of the season. However, I feel his negative tactics and often-puzzling substitutions (or lack of any) cost us enough points to take us out of the running. Why was Osman in the side every game, ahead of Barkley, when he was mostly invisible during games? Why was Vellios not given more of a chance when it became painfully obvious neither Anichebe nor Jelavic were going to score on a regular basis? Because Moyes is afraid to take risks, even when relegation is nowhere near the picture.

There'll be whoops of joy from The Finch Farm Academy boys today.

Its well known him and Ferguson are big mates, he has a lot of influence at the club and will probably help him along the way.

But I'm still shocked that the board have allowed this and the fact they're handing Mourinho to one of their rivals.

Do you think that squad wouldn't be able to win anything regardless of who the manager was? It's not about what they've won or experience of this competition or that competition. It comes down to the core attributes and Moyes has some pretty similar ones to SAF. Man U as a football club and a business don't want something new, they want the same... they'll want someone like SAF who can carry on doing what's been done. SAF is still going to be at the club in some capacity as well, so it's not as if Moyes is being handed a team with no quality or experience themselves. This is a long term thing, if they wanted a short team thing they'd just get Mourinho.

Mourinho's a vagabond, was never going to manage at ManU.

If he goes I think it is likely that he will want Baines more than any other player.
Of course,it will be the new manager he will be negotiating with and hopefully City will throw in a silly bid just to make it interesting.
I am not sure Utd would be able to finance a bid for both Baines and Fellaini.

Abramovich will get bored of Mourinho, it will end in tears, again!

Everyone was saying that about Barca before Guardiola left, though, and they haven't done anywhere near as well since. Plus United's team is inferior to City's and even maybe Chelsea's when you consider them as individuals.

I wouldn't say Moyes and Ferguson are similar in their playing style. Managing style I'm not sure. Just because they're both Scottish and scary doesn't mean they're similar as managers.

our own faults if we fall down the table as the fans have done **** all to remove that cancerous Redcoat and his gang of rich aristocrats from the board first time we look dominant on Merseyside we lose our manager who will inevitably take 1-2 of our best players with him.

The Blue Union should of had 10-15,000 strong supporters marching down to GP week in week out at getting rid of that parasite/

I ain't too fussed with Moyes going if he does. Good luck to him as he has done a great job here considering where we was when he took over.

Just hope we bring someone decent in and not some of the ****e on the betting sites like Hughes, Lennon, Mackay, Round, Neville, O'Neil, McCoist, Allardyce and McClaren etc. If we got some of these names then I would cry!
