Anyone else not as least slightly excited about getting a new manager? I know it could very well go the wrong way and we could be praying for Moyes back if things don't go right, but I still find something encouraging and fresh about hopefully moving forward as a club.

I'm just trying to be optimistic I guess.

I think it's rubbish timing to lose Moyes. This summer represented the first time he would have had a large transfer budget when he's basically had to sell-to-buy up until now. Look what he's done with that budget. Phenomenal. I wouldn't trust another manager to be so prudent.

Something weird about this like. It's strange to see Davey go when he's pretty much all i've ever known as a manager. Not the end of the world though like, and he never really cared too much about everton anyway.

I know, I mean I have doubts of course but none of us know for definite how it's all going to pan out. I get the feeling the club is at a crossroads and something like this was inevitable, for better of for worse.

How would you know seeing as no one at Everton has ever had the amount money that may be available in the summer. David Moyes isn't the only manager in world football that is good with money in relative terms to a players ability on the field of play. Look ahead and remain positive

No one man is bigger than Everton Football Club, there was an EFC before Moyes and will be an EFC once he leaves.

SIR ALEX FERGUSONManchester United chief executive David Gill, speaking to MUTV: "We have to look forward now and I think any manager coming in will inherit a great squad and great staff around him. It is a dream job. I won't speculate on the announcement but I think we will move relatively quickly.
"In Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex we got in managers who got involved in all aspects of the club. That degree of loyalty is crucial to the success of Manchester United. He (the next manager) needs the required football experience in terms of domestic and European requirements, so it is a small pool."
    Rules out Moyes then.

Pretty much how I feel.

Depends who we get, like you I'm as excited as I am nervous. We could get a gem or a dud. It's fun.

Excellent analysis. I am fired up for positive change and a fresh tactical outlook, IF we play this strategically and think very carefully about who we hire next I am hopeful this could be an exciting new direction that could blow those Moyes cobwebs out the window

I have always been an avid Moyes supporter for the whole 11 years. However at this point in time I dont think an attack minded manager would be a bad thing. Moyes is a negative manager.

Replacement: Martinez

Totally Agree; Martinez would be a good replacement. But managers wont want to come because of how much money we have.
