Utd want someone for longevity, they will give him time to improve and grow as long as there still trophies and lets be honest with the players utd have you would have to be a poor manager not to win games. I truly think fergie will be there to help with Europe at first.

Utd ain't like city now or Chelsea now, they have tradition, ex players throughout the club. Very much like ourselves but on a bigger scale. They certainly wouldn't go for a flash in the pan manager trying to change the club and going in a few years.

I'm 99% sure it will be moyes. I also think he'll be a excellent fit there if his ability is up to it.

Sorry, don't follow that argument at all. Kendall had nothing on his CV and I would suggest that he was rather successful Catterick had almost nothing on his CV and also made a reasonable stab at being a top manager for us.
Going for someone who has won something is a) expensive b) difficult (there aren't that many around) and c) not always the best option - managers have to win their first trophy somewhere!
Laudrup and Martinez don't have an egg cup between them, but I would take either of them.

He won the League cup, this season.

Gary Megson must be due a trophy soon, get him signed up.

Eh? You are one of the few people in the English speaking world that thinks that then. It's a completely done deal. Every sourced-up media outlet in the country is running with it. It's clearly been in the offing for a while too.

Moyes does what he wants and he doesn't seem to be in any rush to get to the top. It does seem probable that he'll take the job but if anyone was going to do the unexpected and turn it down it's Moyes. He's very principle and singular in his vision. He might decide that it's too early for him or that he has unfinished business at Everton. His teams might be predictable but he is anything but.

Mate, he has already been sounded out, he is now in London to resign face to face with the chairman. That's it.

I like moyes as a manager and person but...No one turns down the offer to manage man utd!

It's a good argument for him. How many attempts will he get to win the league though? If he doesn't do it in his first season there will be massive pressure on his second season. Would they allow it to get to three years without winning the Premier League?

They're pretty good friends though.

If he resigns now, he will also be able to begin straight away at his new club (with bumper new deal). He is resigning in a formal sense but he interviewed for his new job a while ago.

Can't believe people forgive this moyes and Neville snide behaviour, and will even applaud them on saturday
