It is Moyes Fc after all.

Wowzers.

Well look at the backlash he has faced from Chelsea fans, due to his comments about them when he managed the RS. Those comments are nothing compared with his lack of respect towards EFC, with his comments made during his tenure at the RS. I feel he was responsible in a downturn of relations between the clubs, as he openly antagonised our club with his pathetic comments. I feel with the appointment of Dalglish and subsequent appointment of Rodgers there is more a mutual understanding and respect between the two clubs. No doubt Benetiz is a fine manager but at everton we not only want a winning manager, but also someone who shows class and dignity. Benetiz shows neither!!!

I agree mate but the fact he took the Chelsea job shows he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. He was more of an example as to the calibre of manager we should be looking for.

How about Bert van Marwijk. Was doing well until the euros.

Wondered how you would explain away the world's largest club appointing Moyes.
Because he is Ferguson Mark II - they want someone to continue what has been done, not someone who would do anything different. If he is world-class, why has no other top-team come in for him.

THIS!

The media are all back tracking, saying why Moyes is good. Fact is he might only fit with United because of what Ferguson have done. He would never be considered for any other top job here or abroad.

IMO United will get a stable manager, but also someone who will not take them any further or get them to play better football.

Nail on head. United will essentially still be Fergie's team for years into Moyes' reign there.

Apparently Kenwright didnt have a scooby doo what was going on, Moyes has done it all hush hush.

"until 2pm on Wednesday, four hours after Ferguson made his decision public, Everton's chairman, Bill Kenwright, had no idea that Moyes was wanted by United."

...such is Bill's single minded search for new investment he didn't know what the rest of the country knew four hours earlier.

So basically the announcement should come tomorrow in time for the NYSE opening, Friday's press conference will be fun.
