Farewell Bobby, it's been emotional...

It's a mercy killing, Sundays game just wasn't an option for the club, given the potential fume levels.

On a side note, my lad will be gutted, he spent the last two days making his " get out of our club banner " and his mar ain't gonna be happy when she finds one of her sheets missing .

Rofl. :-)

Considering the amount of pure guff they put out most weeks why's it taking the PR dept. so long to put together a statement about this?

Are they putting together a teary eyed Kenwright video to go on the OS?

Moshiri/Ryazantsev forced it through mate, not sure Bill was a willing participant. Anyway as mentioned, the power shift has started, Moshiri/Ryazantsev are controlling the recruitment process and at least one new board member is arriving early summer.
The power is indeed shifting on this evidence.

I have a theory, hear me out: Roberto Martinez died in the favela's in Brazil during the World Cup and was replaced by a look-alike a la Ringo's claim about Paul McCartney.

Think about it. Everything that made Martinez boss in the first season he NEVER did again. He never made substitutions at half time or even before. He never changed the formation with his subs. He stuck, deadfast, to the 4-2-3-1 formation which every manager had sussed out against us.

The truth is out there....

This would actually explain it- he stopped evolving. No pro can afford to do that.

Maybe there is another announcement !!

It needed to be done. Best wishes to him. He did plenty of good things with the club, and represented us well at the Hillsborough memorial etc. However, we were a step too far for him.

Never a good day when we've had to sack a manager, I wish Roberto all the best. Everyone, the players, the supporters & Roberto himself knew it was over after the derby defeat, if not before. Nobody knows why it was allowed to drag of for this long but we should just draw a line under this now where Martinez is concerned.

Kenwright needs to be first to speak on this and explain his continued backing of him.

Sacking him straight after the derby would just have milked the prostrate of the RS though.
