Confirmed: Roberto Martinez Sacked

I have a theory, hear me out: Roberto Martinez died in the favela's in Brazil during the World Cup and was replaced by a look-alike a la Ringo's claim about Paul McCartney.

Think about it. Everything that made Martinez boss in the first season he NEVER did again. He never made substitutions at half time or even before. He never changed the formation with his subs. He stuck, deadfast, to the 4-2-3-1 formation which every manager had sussed out against us.

The truth is out there....

My thoughts.

1) I like Martinez. He clearly wanted this. But this is a results based job, and the last month has been shameful. Had to go.
2) The biggest knock on effect of the Moshiri buy in, will be that we can attract just about any manager that's available. With that dosh, and this underachieving playing squad, this is a fantastic job. I expect no shortage of interest.
3) Will be interesting to see who wants out and who wants to stay once we appoint a new gaffer. Will the likes of Rom, Mirallas, Barkley, Stones want to stay a year to see how things are with the new manager and new money? Or make a clean break? Will the most interesting summer for Everton in a while, maybe ever.

Good riddance to any of them that don't.

Is the missus aware?
Ash: 'Yes! Made up with that.'
Mrs Ash: 'Chriiis! Be quiet and empty the bath!'
Ash: 'Yes Dear.'

So after Usmanov fails with one last takeover bid of Arsenal, comes to Everton to remove the minority of what's left from the old regime, builds a new stadium, buys world class talent with experienced winners, gives us all free season tickets with change to spare, your now saying that wont happen ?

New start, same old negative Esk... I had a dream all was perfect.

norwegian media are saying De Boer might be the next everton manager, and this is what De Boers agent is saying:
" If a club like Everton comes to him of course he will be interested to talk."

See...See...I was right last night...

I think he will use the awards ceremony to say goodbye and thank the staff. He will then apologise to the fans, tell us he tried, all that...

And in the manner of ANDY KAUFMAN he'll then invite the entire audience, the outside protesters and anyone else who wants to tag along to join him for Milk & Cookies in...I dunno...The WIMPY in the Strand...somewhere like that...

And we will all forgive him
.

WHO WANTS A BISCUIT........????

*28/1 on him dancing in to DERULO

Seismic shift of power at Goodison. Much more than just losing a poorly performing manager.

Good times ahead, although clearly lots of work to be done.

good thing us supporters can just sit in the armchair watching the work being done without having to do any work ourselves.
