Do you think that the threat has been exaggerated? I can’t see it myself. Right Wing governments seemed to be the most reluctant to put in any kind of restrictive measures and I tend to believe that these governments are more beholden to the bourgeoisie.I know 3 nurses here in East Cheshire, all work in a 'hot spot' 2 have tested positive for Covid 19, not serious, none have worked 'any harder' than usual.
That's not a guideline in anyway, just 'experience'.
What do you mean by right wing? Belarus didn't have any lockdown and Sweden with minimal lockdown has a leftist (social democrat) government.Do you think that the threat has been exaggerated? From the UK legislation. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/42/schedule/1/part/I/chapter/9Good lord. Your view on freedom of speech is much more terrifying than this virus.
And you think the government doesnt make laws in its own interest? From the UK legislation. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/42/schedule/1/part/I/chapter/9
Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This Article shall not prevent States from requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television or cinema enterprises.
2The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society, in the interests of national security, territorial integrity or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, for the protection of the reputation or rights of others, for preventing the disclosure of information received in confidence, or for maintaining the authority and impartiality of the judiciary.
Quite clearly bollucks nurse is not considering her responsibility or duty to public health in her video. Also if most people badmouth their employer, there'd be a consequence and probably unemployment.
I'd like to think they tried to make mostly with good intentions for the benefit of the country. And you think the government doesnt make laws in its own interest?
what freedoms have you lost?Lost virtually all my freedom by having a pointless attempt to prolong the miserable existences of a few obese people imposed upon me.
Freedom to travel internationally and at will, lost lots of employment opportunities, lost the pleasure of hanging around with family and friends, lost the chance of going to matches and live music, lost the opportunity to use the gym 24hrs, and so on. I know it's easy for anyone to disagree with me and call me names but I have been convinced all along that the lockdown was a huge over reaction imposed with as yet unknown underlying purposes.what freedoms have you lost?

There seems to be a generally agreed view that if you are against lockdown you are some swivel eyed crazed fascist and it's just not true.
Good evening Jim how are you doing today mate.Sweden is an outlier and they appear to have made a massive error of judgement.
I would say the US, UK and Brazil are 3 countries with right wing boys, with heavy links to big business, who have all handled this whole affair with extreme reluctance and subsequently experienced larger losses of life.
I hear what you’re saying with the stereotyping of people against control measures but it does seem to most commonly attract gammons and mad anti vacation types.
The pro lockdown people can be equally categorised as hysterical terrified drama queens, lazy public sector workers etc .Sweden is an outlier and they appear to have made a massive error of judgement.

Can they? Based on the control of information, the misinformation and the figures shared by other countries? The pro lockdown people can be equally categorised as hysterical terrified drama queens, lazy public sector workers etc .
Potentially you lost the opportunity to die from it too.Freedom to travel internationally and at will, lost lots of employment opportunities, lost the pleasure of hanging around with family and friends, lost the chance of going to matches and live music, lost the opportunity to use the gym 24hrs, and so on. I know it's easy for anyone to disagree with me and call me names but I have been convinced all along that the lockdown was a huge over reaction imposed with as yet unknown underlying purposes.
And I believe its beginning to dawn on many other people too.
