The last couple of pages seem to be based on national governments being in complete control of their own destinies, they're not, they don't even control.their own economies.
There are however, very many people in very influential positions who would be more than content for the current controls to continue.
As for small businesses going bust, as has been mentioned, they've never mattered before when they've been usurped by big business, especially those who have carried out contingency plans and whose very existence has depended upon taking advantage of dire situations, it's disaster capitalism and another example of capitalism eating itself before taking the world with it.
This may not seem like it but, imho, this is an opportunity, one last chance to reset how humanity operates to be more in tune with the planet itself or we could replay Atlantis...(there's a conspiracy for you, or is it? Plato didn't think so
