Conspiracy theories

This is long, but interesting. It is about Hollywood, etc. It's narrated by a former Hollywood stuntman. There is a part in the beginning that talks about Ian Fleming and the James Bond novels which I had never heard about it.

Zoned out after about 30 minutes.
Pulls in so many directions but doesn’t really say anything groundbreaking.

The government/military involvement in Hollywood is well trodden ground. You only have to look at some of the stuff Disney/Warner Brothers were churning out in the 40’s. There’s a particular Bugs Bunny cartoon that they can’t show any more as he’s fighting against the Japanese in it and hurls a few racist insults at them.

More recently, there was controversy over American Sniper and Zero Dark Thirty, which are, let’s be honest, state propaganda pieces to improve the reputation of the US military.

Operation Paperclip, which one of his guests talks about in hushed tones and claims is still denied by some (it absolutely isn’t) is also well trodden and established ground.

As is MK UKTRA, both the US and UK ran extensive trials with psychotropics to see how they could alter the human mind. How successful they were, is of course the matter for debate.

Few other alarm bells were his repeating of “I’ve seen documents that say...” or “Someone high up told me...” - without furnishing evidence of either (a popular Alex Jones trick)
Also the bit about him ‘finding Jesus’... I’ve got no problem with people of faith, but in my experience, people who shoehorn this into these types of documentaries usually make some major reaches with their theories based on their faith.

Is the second half of it any better? :p

Not sure, i am trying to watch it at the moment but as you mentioned there is something about the bloke that is just a bit annoying. If you like interesting stuff along these lines there is a great book by a guy call Tim Weiner called Legacy of Ashes about the history of the CIA. It would be a good thing to read for passing some time at the moment even if it is a bit hard going in some bits, massive thick paperback with really small text it is but it's a great read.

Most of that was covered by Icke moons ago. I'm not denigrating the piece just highlighting how the same information can be represented depending on who is sharing it.

I agree the beginning is slow, but I think it gets better. As for some of the info already being out there, I think a lot of people are clueless.

I consider myself an informed person, reading about a lot of different subjects, but I had never heard of Operation Paperclip or MK Ultra until about 2 years ago.

For the average person, I think this video is a good introduction to these topics.

Yes, Icke has been talking about these things for a long time. I've only recently been made aware of him. Like I mentioned to @LostLegend, I think a lot of people don't have any idea about some of these programs. I know I had no idea until a couple of years ago.
