West is best in Scotland, so many stunning landscapes and scenery.
The Ardnamurchan peninsula is gorgeous, Torridon is breathtaking and the fresh fish and chips in Ullapool are the best.
And for an atmospheric experience, Glencoe is the place to go.
There are some lovely beaches up the east coast too, so the NC500 is well worth doing… only idiots do it in three days, far better to take your time and enjoy it at a leisurely pace.

I don't get back very often these days, but will be going on holiday to the Highlands this summer, as my wife & son have never been that far north before. Will call in on various relatives in Fife on the drive back down - soz @john jako
