I think I was the only Evertonian who liked Sandro Pistone. His problem was that Kevin Kilbane did not understand the concept of the overlapping full back. And he was unlucky with injuries.Pistone I mean, not Kilbane. Pistone only scored once for Everton, I think, and it was a worldie.......

If I recall correctly, which for me requires superhuman effort, your dad was not far wrong. Can't remember him throwing it as far as the opposing penalty area, but he would always throw the ball out in preference to kicking it. Best and most accurate thrower there was and a truly great keeper. Thank you for bringing the memories flooding back!

Top of the OPTA stats for passing one season was our Allesandro...much under rated by the majority of Evertonians. was their ultimate scapegoat. I think he actually runs a chain of hairdressers in Italy now...when he was 20 he was known as 'the new Maldini' I remember the outcry on Kipper when I suggested he should be played in midfield. Ah well.........
