I’d prefer to see the Aussies win tbh. Have developed a real dislike of this India team. South Africa aren’t much better either.

Such a stupid format for a cup competition though. Play tonnes of games to get to the semis then just have a bad session and you’re out.
Fail to see why short form cricket seems to struggle with this.

Thats the nature of white ball cricket though isn't it, one bad session or powerplay and you are toast

well aye, just seems a bit anti climatic for a team to play all those group games like NZ then lose it all in a few hours.
Football play-offs spring to mind. 46 games then lose out due to a bad 45 minutes.

You at least have a 2 legged play off game before the final. I dunno. Format seems a mess.
3 hours is less than 100 overs. I think that this WC has been crap for a number of reasons not least that crowds have been low and not many close matches.

50 over format feels kinda dead. Maybe after the Ashes with all the drama there and so much 20/20 cricket, 50 overs looks like a watered down version of both. Too many long periods of very little happening.
