Oh I laughed!
How is Chico these days?!
Maybe. My guess is whoever dreamt up cryptos will just dream something else up.
Always possible. Maybe it is damaged goods now and the normal man won't get behind it to be able to propel it upwards like last year.
Bitcoin and alike have gone through little peaks and troughs in the past, so we could see it come back again. It all really fell apart when they started to trade on the futures market. My guess was the same high rollers that bet on it to go down were gradually buying the coins to raise the price and promote growth and confidence, then sold them off in massive chunks to do the opposite. They win getting more money for their crypto trades and then cash in from the futures result. Easy money.
Question is will they do the same again this time betting on a positive outcome -then after cleaning up switching and doing what they did first time around.
But like "sell your gold" adverts were around a few years ago, once Talksport carried Bitcoin ads, the game was truly up imo.
Many fads are valuable before they're popular, much less so afterwards
aka, "sold to you, sucker"
I have experienced numerous "investments" designed to make a few people rich, at the expense of many who didnt. Cryptos lasted longer than I thought they would, and being honest, other than this thread havnt really taken much notice of them.

I really wouldn't mind being in on the front end of one of these fads once or twice, but I doubt my constitution would ever allow suchYep. Even Facebook is one nerd in a bedroom somewhere away from the likes of Bebo, Friends Reunited, etc etc.
Fell out with 1 of my online mates a few months ago over these bitcoins, he claimed they were gonna change the world, I called him a moron.
Im just sorry we no longer speak, would love to laugh long and hard at him.
Like all Ponzi schemes, the chickens come home to roost eventually. The trick is to get in early and out early, or better still, steer clear.
On Everton aren't we ?'online friend!

Was it kev..?Agreed - broadly speaking once it becomes a fad, the value has gone.
That being said I was out with someone this time year who was telling everyone to get involved and it was at that point that I knew a sell was in the offing. Utter sociopath who wanted last price up off the back of his acquaintances!!
