Bit of free tax advice for you, look up the 30 day rule for CGT.
Also, if you're married, consider bed and spousing your assets to minimise the tax you'd otherwise pay. Obviously you have to trust your missus with a large amount of ( virtual ) cash, and, quite frankly, if I was married to my better half ( which I'm not ) I wouldn't trust mine with the odd 100k !

my target was 20k gbp.

hard to gauge what happens now, last night i cashed out 10 btc at around 10k GBP per coin, so thats 25% of stake. ill leave it like that for a while, my gut tells me this is far from the 'end' of crypto, the cat is well and truly out of the bag. once the genie is out, it cant be put back. Could see a new ATH within a matter of months - possibly weeks. if it hits 8k gbp then ill buy again.

the korean issue is a setback, but alternative routes will appear for those who used them I feel.

well I have 40 coins now which I bought at intervals between 500gbp-1300gbp between October last year and May this year. over 20 bought below 1000.

So over 20 bought below 1000, the other 20 no higher than 1300 let's take an estimate of 40,000 initial stake.

Bought back in at 9800 before I went to bed last night so I’ve increased my holdings overall.

Of course! Did you not know how quickly you can sell Bitcoin? In 24 hours it's quite normal to sell £100,000 of Bitcoin and then buy them back again at a cheaper price. Exchanges, bank transfers etc are notoriously this rapid.

This is one of the benefits of having "people in the know" on your side.

Sorry, I just presumed it had. How else would you be able to buy more?

May I ask what exchange you used? It must be a good one if it enables you to act that fast.

Many exchanges allow you to hold fiat currency.

So sell btc for fiat and hold on the exchange and buy again using that same fiat.

Can be done within 5 minutes.
