Bear in mind, that was Moyes' best start I think! Early days for Martinez. He will get the players he requires to perform the way he wants...but it'll take time, mostly because of that ball bag Kenwright being 'in control'.

I don't think you can blame Kenwright for that result. We had better players in every position, and on the bench than they did.

Also, not sure if you care or not as its not really relevant to anything, but last season was Moyes second best start.

Oddly enough, though...I don't have "the dread" when we're not playing well under this system, we generally control the match better and look more poised to dictate proceedings. we just can't seem to get over the midfield hump.
Agreed, we were rather dire in the first half against Spurs but Iwas never once worried the game would get out of hand, felt like we were always in control even when we were getting battered, if that makes any sense...

Lol at the child whose random neg rep said this:

pmsl. Surely no older than about 15?

i got similar a while ago

'no it was me tough guy. the sniderman. be a smeg and receive some neg. change your path or we will be seeing each other often round here **backflips onto passing greyhound bus**'

This fellah must have a sad sad life. I actually feel sorry for the whopper.

It's not a complaint. Martinez has done very well to not change too much too soon. And I don't think we'll have the same dreadful run like we did in January last year, no concrete reason why i feel that just feel Martinez will be able to snap the players out of a funk better than Moyes.

Well, that particular spell was the worst I've seen so far and it did make me pucker...I'm mainly referring to general play. When things aren't coming off we've been less likely to hand possession back for large spells and just wait to be scored on. It's basically gone from the onus being handed to the opp to score past us, to us having to score on/break down the opp and I'd much rather see that any day of the week even if we're not doing well at it.
