OK so we lose out on a trip to Wembley Ok we were played off the pitch by a south London small team Ok we played richi on his own again in the central strikers role and seemingly we set out to lose So a game that’s best consigned to the bin let’s forget it and move on
We have a decent attacking force Gray Alex dcl richi Gordon
I myself would play begovic in goal in future
WH and Burnley next the latter should be particularly interesting.
Stay positive COYB
The only place we’re moving onto is the championship, very poor football team

Lampard lets say doesnt help.... Not easy but the guy has really no clue. The pressing for 10 minutes ... Everytime the same s...t. When will he learn. Pack midfield and defense, park the bus and hope for the best!
Isn’t that what Benitez did?

The main objective today should have been concentrating on a strong defensive performance as a rehearsal for the vital league games coming up, as winning there would have been difficult with our players. Instead the game plan seems to have been identical to what happened at Southampton and Spurs, ie suicide.

Well, let's examine what actually happened today.

Second goal, a handball in the build-up not picked up by VAR.

Another handball in the build-up to another of their goals in the second half. Again, not picked up by VAR.

When those kind of things go against you, then the result does not really reflect the difference between the two teams over the whole game. We absolutely snotted them up to Townsend's injury. The stoppage absolutely clobbered the momentum we had built up.

Sometimes, it just doesn't go for us. Just got to move on, this game is history now...

Mykolenko should be LB
Patterson should be RB.
Branthwaite should be CB
Godfrey should be CB.

When Mina returns hes in for Branthwaite.

I see people giving Coleman motm no doubt for 1 great pass and 1 great tackle.

Hes an attack killer with his backpasses...such a poor player and nulls the attacks every single time.

Keane for the 1st two goals was shocking.

Kenny i dont even know what to say...holgate waddling for the 4th.

Play those 4 young lads and stick with them.

Also cant we find an u23 ahead of Gomes...i dont care who...but surely they wont be as bad.
Mykolenko has been erratic at best. I think there’s a player in there but with what’s happening in his home country and his injuries I can see why he’s not playing.

Patterson looked good against Boreham Wood, would like to see him in a proper match though and I’m not going to get excited about one half against a non-league team and Coleman has been our best defender last few games - he’s not the problem.

The problem is center back. We keep playing three at the back which is awful for our squad. We keep playing Keane and Holgate who are awful and Kenny who’s not very good anyway out of position which makes him awful too.

Everyone here would want Godfrey and Mina if possible but Mina is always crocked. I’m not sure I could trust Godfrey and Branthwaite to be much better than Keane and Holgate - all four of those defenders look dodgy with mistakes in them so let’s at least not break Branthwaite’s confidence before he’s really started? I would assume that’s why he’s not playing.

I can see how Lampard has ended up playing who he’s played but the problem for me is he keeps playing this back five. Our defenders are awful so why play five over four of them!?

Went with Seamus as man of the match, he was solid throughout and at least looked interested in making a fight of it. I thought Gordon started brightly, but, I'm convinced he carried an injury from about the half hour mark when he was on the recieving end of a poor tackle by Mitchell, who seemed to stamp on Gordon's foot.

We really didn't need to lose by four today, it I'll do no good for our confidence going forward. About the only thing good to be said for today is, rather than have another Saturday game postponed, adding to our very congested last few weeks of the season due to being in the cup semi final, we can at least rearrange one of our fabled 'games in hand' for that Saturday, when we should have played Palace in the league.

I know it's not much consolation, but, I'm trying to take positives where I can with Everton at the moment.

Worst FA Cup defeat in 68 years. Largest FA Cup away defeat in 111 years, goes with a 0-6 reverse at home against.... Crystal Palace 100 years ago. Can't say I wasn't surprised.
