Holgate in first half seemed to just lash it anywhere (he didn't even bother doing that in the second half.) I saw more poise and distribution from The Eagle's still half canned Sunday morning defenders years ago.

Keane looks like hes just walked into the somme....holgate looks like hes in no mans land

That's that out of the way. Now concentrate on Premiership survival.

My MoM Anthony Gordon. Richie tried and tried, Seamus put in a shift. I was disappointed the way we reverted to long passages of passing the ball around our half and back to Jordan to punt it upfield. Get the ball up into the final third and pass it around up there FFS! I've only been watching football for 65+ years so I know nothing about tactics, but it seems obvious to me that you don't often score from your own half.

It wasn't a 4-0 match to be fair, but Palace made the most of the luck that came their way, and Everton got their usual lucky breaks - none.

Went with Seamus as man of the match, he was solid throughout and at least looked interested in making a fight of it. I thought Gordon started brightly, but, I'm convinced he carried an injury from about the half hour mark when he was on the recieving end of a poor tackle by Mitchell, who seemed to stamp on Gordon's foot.

We really didn't need to lose by four today, it I'll do no good for our confidence going forward. About the only thing good to be said for today is, rather than have another Saturday game postponed, adding to our very congested last few weeks of the season due to being in the cup semi final, we can at least rearrange one of our fabled 'games in hand' for that Saturday, when we should have played Palace in the league.

I know it's not much consolation, but, I'm trying to take positives where I can with Everton at the moment.
You seem to be applying common sense to whoever arranges PL Fixtures. What will actually happen, is that we’ll have no game that weekend, then be forced to play 3 games in less than a week.

Everyone knows how to play against us. "They're going to come at you all guns blazing for the first 15. they lack the quality to finish so as long as we stay close and don't do something stupid, we'll persevere. then when they run out of puff, we can cut through their defence and score. once they go behind their heads will drop and we can score for fun or sit back.' EVERY manager team talk.

Think he feels its so bad hes going with 5 for safety in numbers.

Right side has to be patterson now...coleman dreadful when we had the ball.

Left back needs to be mykolenko even if hes just at an average level for now.

Centre back cant be keane and holgate looks shell shocked.

Id be interested to see how many passes backwards coleman made today

Killed the attacks on the right so many times....5 in the box...waddles back with the ball for the backpass

That toad

I think alot of Godfreys issues are having no reliable partner next to him --, hes barely played with Mina.

Branthwaite may not be ready but even being average and stable would help his partner.

The full backs / wing backs are shocking as well...kenny / coleman ffs.

With regards to how many times Colman passed backwards, I'm not too sure, but, I'll tell you what, he passed to a player wearing a white jersey more than most of the others. I agree with you, he needs to be replaced, but, he played well today, no need to get on his back after a game where he was clearly nowhere near being one of our worst performers.

Wasn't expecting much and thats what I got. Shame about no trip to Wembley though

As long as Brentford get beat then i'm okay with the weekend
