Really? Do you honestly think this current squad that's struggling to steer clear of relegation could really do with European football next season?
Lampard will have no money to strengthen in the summer without selling a couple of our 'better' players so I don't hold out for much improvement next season. European football would just put more pressure on an already weak squad.

Obviously I'd love to see a return to European nights at Goodison but it's a bit pointless getting it at the moment when it would just lead to more disappointment and embarrassing defeats to teams we've never even heard of.

You get over £3m just from being in the group stage and £500k for every win. If you get out of the group stage it’s another £1m.

I think living in the City it's a lot harder because all the younger fans will have loads of rs mates who just rub it in on a daily basis. So from a local point of view it would be huge just to get that first trophy done and dusted to pipe that lot down about our lack of success.

There's not a day that goes by where my lad doesn't come home and say some rs has taken the piss over something
