Haha you know what I mean though. Clubs with a bit of history that sometimes got into Europe but were mostly mid table in the PL.

I think living in the City it's a lot harder because all the younger fans will have loads of rs mates who just rub it in on a daily basis. So from a local point of view it would be huge just to get that first trophy done and dusted to pipe that lot down about our lack of success.

There's not a day that goes by where my lad doesn't come home and say some rs has taken the piss over something

Agree

I live in Walton. My poor son takes a lot of crap from his mates. Feel sorry for him.

First time I saw Everton live was in the summer of 95 when they came up north for a testimonial match.

Premier league clubs had come up before but those Everton players had just won the FA Cup! I'd just watched it on TV a few weeks before, couldn't wait to go and see them.

Go for this full throttle. Winning a cup would change everyone's perspective, players, fans, media and might pick up some new fans along the way.

Well for those that have gone just sing we shall not be moved and we're on the march with Lampards army very loud along with Everturn Everturn Everturn... Everturn Everturn Evertuuuurn

FA Cup QF, whats not to be excited about.

I'm expecting Richarlison to be the match winner today.

4,000 Evertonians cheering the team on, no league pressure and one game away from Wembley......COYB!!!!

Those worried about the rs, City or Chelsea....
on any given day we can get a result against any of them. What a way to end the season if we avoided relegation, won a cup and put 27 years of pain to bed and then qualified for the Europa League.
This..all day long.

We will be right up for this, can only see a win for us.

As far as other teams using footballing success as banter, I dont have a problem with it. This is how you measure success and is what most teams strive for and judge themselves on. If we go on to win this cup then that is how you reply to such banter and dish out a bit of your own.

Wouldn’t we also get a Europa League place too, something we could really do with.

I’m just looking forward to the next round draw and the team we will knockout then.

It was bad enough living in north wales, I can only imagine it woukd be awful on Merseyside
We now live down south and my son is still surrounded by fake RS who take the pi55 is school
I keep telling him that every dog has its day. It’s been a while since it’s been ours though

Could be as simple as get to the final and we're in Europe next season. Two games is all it needs. Of course today will be extremely tough, and beating one of the even bigger teams will need almost an incredible fluke to get to the final, but much worse teams have done so in the past 15 odd years.

I don’t think losing finalists get into Europa Leagus anymore ?
